We had a fantastic evening meal in Laxmi Huddersfield. Food and service were spot on, nice relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices. Will definitely come back ☺️
Very nice place. Nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was spot on. Starter was good. Mixed grill. Very nicely presented. Main again was very nice. Good flavour, nice heat, lamb was cooked to perfection literally melted in the mouth. Little disappointed with the chapati. It seemed to be covered in an oil or ghee. But overall very nice.
Quite delicious and flavourful food! Early enough to enjoy the delights from the early bird menu. We had onion pakoras and chicken kebab to start, which were presented very nicely and had some decent flavour. I also ordered some additional fish pakoras from the full menu - was a little disappointed by these, have had FAR better elsewhere, but the batter was light and the fish succulent but under seasoned! Then for mains we opted for Chicken Karai - sensational, full flavoured with tender pieces of chicken. Also a chickpea curry, which was very nicely spiced and delicious! The naans were rather tasty and the poppadoms were lovely and crispy and served with some tasty pickles and chutneys! Overall a decent evening out, the staff weren’t massively engaging at all, but it was a very busy night for them! Would visit again to try more off the early bird menu !!
We've had takeaway from here a couple of times which has been spot on. Dining in the restaurant is even better. We made it in time for the early bird which was a nice bonus, and wow was the food delicious! So tasty and the meat very good quality. Definitely recommend this place.
Food and service was excellent....lots of vegetarian options which is a plus...nice decor too will definitely recommend to friends

First time here, and would truly recommend. The welcome was warm and the food excellent, fresh and flavoursome.
Visited with a group of curry enthusiast friends. The place is well decorated to a modern standard with pleasant and attentive staff. The quality of the food is superb, but the menu lacks inspiration containing mainly what would be called old school classics elsewhere. Towards the top end of acceptable pricing too at £25 per person for stater and mains excluding drinks.
Only had a small bite to eat, staff were friendly, mango lassi was perfect. Tikka masala was one of the best I've eaten, the dansak was middle ground. They are missing some staples found elsewhere such as sharing jugs of lassi, family naans etc. Overall I would return but would really like to see sharing jugs of lassi and family naans.
