“Popped in for some dinner with my family and had an absolutely amazing time! Our server Sophie was quick to recommend plenty of options (we have some vegetarians, and some picky eaters) without missing a beat. She was also eternally patient with us which takes a lot.. The fish and chips and jam roly poly were GORGEOUS and we'll definitely be coming back!!!”

“First visit after refurbishing…it looks amazing. Food was fresh & delicious as always. Service was excellent from arriving to leaving. We were out for a celebration bringing our cousin out for the evening after being in hospital for 5 months & we were not disappointed. Clive Courtney & Charlie showed outstanding service throughout our evening.”

“Busy pub just outside the bus station. Spacious inside and very spacious outside. They have events on outside at times, which are very popular . I often go in before Huddersfield Town games on Saturday afternoons and it is very busy. Good selection of beers at reasonable prices which compare well with other pubs in town.”

“This is my go to pub of choice. The food is consistently good. Any slight issues are promptly and professionally resolved..... The beer (ale) is consistently good. The staff are more than willing to assist in anything required..... There are a few people with mobility / age issues / problems. It's so heart warming to sit and watch the staff bring their drinks, their condiments and their change back to them with a pleasantry not seen in any other pub in Huddersfield. Can't fault the pub. It is definitely a place where all people are constantly welcomed...... Im a Yorkshire man - so I'm not easily impressed / pleased. Overall 10/10. Also : the toilets are on the same level, so no steps. ☺️”

“Had a lovely meal at the Cellar Door tonight. Everything was cooked beautifully and the service was great too! We had a range of starters to share and the chicken burger and steak for main. The burger was delicious and the steak was one of the nicest we’ve ever had, and very reasonably priced. We’d certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone and we’ll be returning very soon. It’s a brilliant addition to Lindley. Thank you :)”

“The food has always been absolutely fine here, the prices are fab - absolutely can not complain but when you’re ordering you need to speak to Elyshi R (name on my receipt) because honestly she has made my visit! I swear she was made to work in hospitality, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much while ordering food, and I’ve definitely never played charades while explaining what I want. Thank you for bringing Christmas cheer to a wet and miserable Monday! You’re a bloody star!!!”

“Excellent few hours of lunchtime menu options available for the winter months, nice and warm in winter and next to the Canal and outside seating available in the summer. Good lunch menu choices and drinks options to have at various times of day. Looking forward to meeting with friends here again later on in the season.”

“Wonderful experience! I recently visited this sweet little place, and had the most pleasurable time while being here. They have a lot of offers going about across the week, and run a 2 for 1 cocktails offer everyday, so getting a nice drink to go along with your meal is pretty easy to do here. On my visit I ordered a burger, it was amazing! It came with 3 meats (Beef, Chicken and bacon) and I was able to select a sauce from the wide range of sauces that they have at the venue. The atmosphere is wonderful and makes you feel like you're sat right in the heart of the 1960s - early 2000s with the wide array of music that they play here. The gentleman that greeted me on my arrival was one of the most pleasant people I've met, he helped myself and my friend order food, let us know what offers were on and was extremely pleasant past that. The prices here are pretty great, especially considering how high quality the food and drinks are here. Including 2 cocktails, a full meal and sides myself and my friend dined for around £15 per person. Overall I would highly recommend the rock cafe to anyone passing and looking for a nice meal, or even just a quick drink.”

“Lived in huddersfield all my life but first time at the Fieldhead. Good pint of bitter shandy. Sunny beer garden with a great view and seriously impressed with the cleanliness of the ladies loo. Will come back but only if hubby promises not to accidentally spill a load of cold lager down my back again”

“Came up from london and stayed in the apartments next door. As soon as we arrived the team were on hand to show us where to go to our room. The pub was great and really well run. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere on Friday and Saturday night was great with karaoke! We had such a great time in Huddersfield thanks to these guys and will definitely be back to the boy and the barrel when we visit next!”
