Very friendly staff, making it feel homely, beautiful currys and the best cheese naan, I can never find a cheese naan that tastes cheesy enough but they managed it! Nice thick chips too with lots of flavour and good pickle tray options!

Walked in was seated had to walk back out. Canβt comment on the food as we never got a chance to try it. The guys there seemed nice enough, thereβs no way to get inside if you have a pushchair or wheelchair for that matter. Anyway they helped me lift our pushchair which was nice. The place stunk of a sewer/ toilet. There was also alcohol scattered everywhere on tables, lids open, which for a halal restaurant is not acceptable. Anyway the smell was too much for us to bare and had to leave.

Unfortunately had to leave before mains arrived but got everything boxed up promptly. The food was immaculate and will definitely be returning.

food was delicious and reasonably priced- very generous portion sizes. Service was friendly and the restaurant itself is beautiful- canβt wait to come back.

Definitely wonβt be visiting this place again. Lalaβs Huddersfield just isnβt the same anymore. The food is a shame - dry, generic and boring. Itβs closer to takeaway standard and you can tell the quality of ingredients have taken a dive. They canβt even do a mango lassi right. The actual building and decor itself is now outdated and needs a fresh redo as well. Overall, one to stay away from unless youβre desperate for a curry.

Great tasting food, service was just right, as they left us to enjoy our food. As it was a Monday the place wasn't buzzing but still there was a good pleasant atmosphere. Definitely will visit again if I am in the area.

Absolutely amazing food. Excellent service by all the staff who actually take care of their customers. All staff groomed well with excellent customer service skills. Highly recommended as stated above food is lush, beautiful presentation and overall the restaurant itself is ever so beautiful with excellent warm atmosphere.

SO FANCY, everything is spotless, gorgeous and well thought out. The customer service was brilliant and the waiters couldnβt do enough for us. They ensured that we were happy with everything and the portions were huge, fresh and so good. 100% recommend. However, the staff do stand very close by so it was hard to have a private chat while we ate as we felt listened to. Apart from this everything was perfect. It was the best Indian weβve ever had

Not what it used to be and won't be back. As a long time fan of Lala's in Wakefield (prior to Huddersfield opening), and Huddersfield since (as the chef moved), I was disappointed on my last visit (Oct 2019), but tonight (quite Monday in March 2022) gave it another try. Wish I hadn't, things had only got worse. The amazing venue is let down by both food and service. The chicken tikka sizzler is ok, and was on previous visit too. Garlic naan similarly was ok as was salad. That's where it ends though. Poppadoms arrived with the waiters thumb holding them down in the basket! Pickle tray was band. Mutton Bhuna was not a bhuna, way to wet. Meat was tender, but the curry itself was too wet and salty with spices not cooked out. Chapati were quite dry, as were the onion bhaji. Seated quickly on arrival. Waited an eternity for someone to order drinks, so much so that we immediately also ordered food, and asked for the starters with the main, so they would get straight on with cooking the mains to catch up some time. When serving, everything arrived except the bhuna and the sizzler. It was another five minutes before they turned up. The curry with the sizzler was not nice, and very very watery; wasn't eaten. Normally I'd have given a restaurant the chance to try again, but 1) I didn't have the time, and 2) I'm convinced this was already their A game so no point. Staff were friendly enough, just not attentive or timely. Sorry Jnr, never thought standards would slip this low and I'd find myself writing such a poor review. I won't be back as the journey from Wakefield is not worth the risk of disappointment.
