   I really love this place. A classic traditional pub venue Yorkshire spot. It overlooks a marvelous scene of the upper valley and over the horizon. It has a fair amount of parking too. Very scenic. The food is spectacular. The man puts his heart into the dishes and the food is sourced with freshness and seasonality at the forefront. You get what you pay for here. I've been here for a quiet lunch as well as a a restaurant evening service with some lovely meal course selections. The food is always on point. The prices vary for the lunch service to the evening service.

   Came for family Sunday lunch. Welcomed from first foot in the place, (has feel of a pub from years ago before they all got taken over by big chains and became impersonal). Food was served hot which was great. The trad beef with trimmings was delicious and veg served perfectly cooked. Veggie option was tasty too. Service was swift and attentive. We all enjoyed our food and would recommend Golcar Lilly to anyone for a drive out for a Sunday lunch with terrific views.

   The “Yorkshire” sandwich (roll) is seriously good, I can only assume the rest of the other food is too but I will never be ordering anything other than the Yorkshire sarnie. Obviously chunky chips too, 10/10.

   I visited today with my daughters and brother for a quick drink after a walk. We was met by a very unfriendly and extremely rude front of house lady with black curly hair. We were told where to sit and that our food order would be taken at the table, which didn't happen until we had almost finished our drinks and was ready to leave. We said thanks and bye as we left and got no reply. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere and will not be returning. Claire behind the bar was lovely as was the young man who brought the cup of tea.
