   We've been visiting here for a couple of years and always had a lovely meal with great service. We booked a Christmas lunch in August, in plenty of time we thought. We went in to check it was still OK a month later to find out our names weren't down after all. We were assured we would be fit in and would be contacted. We heard nothing, so rang up but was told we would be contacted with the details and it was still OK. Again, we heard nothing. We went in for a meal and asked again. At this point, we hadn't paid deposits or given meal choices. I asked if I could pay the deposit and what time we were eating but was again told we would be contacted for that. 2 weeks later (4 weeks before Christmas) we were finally contacted to say we couldn't be fit in after all and they were very sorry. We expressed our disappointment as we booked it months ago but it made no difference, it was the manager's decision and there was nothing they could do. Had we known months ago, we could have booked somewhere else but everywhere is fully booked now. We rang to speak to the manager and left a message but they haven't returned our call. Very, very disappointing and we won't be visiting here again now. People have suggested it's due to us being vegan and therefore not profitable for them to cater for us but we would like to think this isn't the case...

   Barely arrived on place, the outdoor area was amazing with a wonderful view on the fields and landscape! My wife and me enjoyed a lot the surroundings and the quiet atmosphere of the place. Then we came inside and the indoor was very lovely, super cosy ! The staff was very welcoming, smiling, with a lot of attention! The waiting time for the food was very short, and you can even enjoy a drink outside admiring the landscape in between each dish which is very pleasant! We ordered some shrimps bites, cheesy balls and halloumi sticks as starter and they were really good ! The main course was exquisite!! I ordered the mashed potato with the typical British pie and peas served with an excellent gravy sauce I couldn't stop! As a french traveller I was looking for typical English meal and I am not disappointed at all ! My wife ordered the barbecue pizza and she liked it a lot ! Every dishes are made with fresh products for sure and you can feel it in the taste! Very delicious lunch!! I highly recommend this place for anyone who would be looking for a place with excellent quality food , good welcoming staff very lovely and quiet place to eat in peace ! The price was very affordable for two as they have many formules that make it cheaper with a lot of choices in them ! I would come back for sure during my next holiday in Yorkshire! Thank you for this delightful experience!

   Visit the Travellers every couple of weeks, generally on a Thursday and always impressed. Staff are just lovely and welcoming every time and the food is spot on. If you go in a Thursday when it’s 2 for 1 on selected mains and buy 2 large glasses of wine get the rest of the bottle free it’s very reasonably priced.

   Very nice menu, good choice Sunday Lunch menu, excellent service by the staff. Good choice of beers and wines. Owners are really attentatuve and have trained staff in service, which makes the whole experience of dining out pleasurable... keep up the good work Traveller's..

   Had a celebration for 14 ladies on Friday 9th Dec , we all had 3 courses of the Christmas Menu , all food was absolutely gorgeous, not a complaint off any of us , even with such a big group , all food came out hot , and was beautiful. Presented very well , and the staff were a credit to the pub . We eat here quite a bit and they certainly did not let us down .

   First time eating here in years four of us had the roast dinners with veg, between four of us we were given one small terrine of veg, a tiny dollop of mash and two slices of thinnest sliced beef you can imagine. It tasted good but expected a bit more for the price. Kids meal was a microwave pizza which she didn't eat much of.
