   Sorry to say but , Absolutely awful food . The chips looked like they had been dipped in the fryer not one golden coloured one . Anaemic looking chips and no taste and the fish was shiny smooth batter , when biting into in the oil just oozed out . I have never had any that oily and it tasted of nothing but oil . The fish was actually hard and dry . Maybe I tried them on an off day but YUK

   Weekday evening, and I ran out of driving time, delivering to shops in the area. Google map search shows the local chippy is the only plaice open within walking distance. Google says 8 minutes walk. Off I go downhill. I wasn't disappointed. Even though it was nearly closing there was still a choice. Small fish, sausage or a cake. I went for the fish. It was lovely, with some chips, scraps and salt n vinegar. Bargain for £4.25 The fish really was good. Smashing batter. I sat,(on the plastic bag the meal came in)on the steps of the closed shop up the road and scoffed. Great..... Highly recommended.

   Normally we would go to hillycroft but they have become very expensive over the years so decided to go for a change and try a more local fish and chip shop... my wife and myself were not disappointed.. the food was beautiful! It was fresh as cooked to order and to our surprise almost £4.50 cheaper for a like for like order in comparison to our usual fish and chip shop!! Winner!!! The gentleman in the shop was very welcoming and polite with good conversation and a genuine nice guy. Will definitely be coming back in the near future.
