This is one of our local chinese that we go to regularly and it always as consistently great tasting food for a reasonable price.
The spring rolls were disgusting, the chicken was like rubber and very gummy. Couldn't tell if it was pink or not but never the less. The only positive was the prawn crackers.
We have ordered from most Chinese takeaways in the area and this is by far the best! It’s great food, really authentic and tastes amazing and decent portions too compared to others in the area. Highly reccomend this takeaway! And it has proper chow mein with egg noodles! We order directly through their website and have never had an issue
I've never been disappointed by Rainbow House. The food has always been great quality. Other take aways have small, soggy onion rings but not here. The onion rings are huge and crispy. Every time I order from here, the food always arrives hot and tastes fresh. They've also given me free prawn crackers on a few occasions which is always a nice surprise. The man that delivered my food was also very nice and had his child hand me my food which I thought was so sweet! Rainbow House has never let me down and I will continue to give them my business.
Gone here for years and always enjoyed the food by far the best Chinese food but recently they have put there prices up and it’s a joke £30 for two of us for a takeaway sorry no matter how much I enjoy it I refuse to pay the prices
It's alright. They have just eat and delivered on time but tbh the food is neither horrible or great. Its a bit less than good.
Really disappointed. Been ordering from Rainbow for a year now but the past 3 or 4 orders, the food portions have had very little meat with nearly a whole onion in the dish. Very little sauce or gravy. Seems to be intentional to get you to buy the sauce or gravy separate gorgeous £2.00!!! Rip off. Tonight I ordered via the app as usual, specified a collection time but the text I received stated order ready to collect 20 minutes earlier, so I went to collect at the text time, only to be told I specified a later time.
Had such a good takeaway from here in the past, but not tonight. A different chef maybe? Ordered king prawns in ginger with spring onion and received regular prawns. Other dishes very bland. Won't be trying them again.
I've got to say the food this evening was mediocre at best, especially the salt and pepper chips which were particularly awful. Completely redeemed by the excellent customer service, I was pretty annoyed about the food we had received but it was dealt with really well. I guess everyone has bad days from time to time but we were given a refund and the gentleman was extremely polite and apologetic. Hopefully it was just a one off.
