    DO NOT PLACE AN ONLINE ORDER! I was not aware that this takeaway has now closed and no longer exists.. iv placed an order with them on their site and paid for it via Apple Pay, a company in Stoke on Trent take the payment iv had to contact them and explain the situation now waiting for a refund. Yorkshire Charcoal Still shows as open on google but the phone number is no longer valid either the shop has disappeared very strange . Just BEWARE

    Awful takeaway. Spent Β£50 on a New Years order for me and my pals and it never arrived. They claimed to have delivered it but that’s a lie. AVOID!

    We didn’t get a delivery but my CCTV recorded the delivery driver being sick on the wall as he left…I wouldn’t want to order from there…who knows what you might catch from the driver!!

    Ordered lamb chops which didn't specify on how many I would be getting but ordered anyway, when they arrived there were 2 in a tray which cost Β£5.50 I wouldn't mind paying if the quality was right but these had blood mixed with the water from the lamb itsself at the bottom of the tray... Do Not Order!!

    Like others, have been using this place for some years - but, lately delivery has taken too long. Last time, ordered giving them an hour from call to delivery, 1hr 20 min later rang them, was on way, 10 min later driver was just setting off. 10 min later I rang, said will cancel order, apparently driver was"just leaving". anoth 10 min it arrived. Was good grub as usual but way too long to wait.

    I have spent between Β£2- 3000 with Yorkshire Charcoal fresh over years of loyalty and the service was always good, in recent times I've recieved the worst customer service I have ever experienced, my last example- once I obtained my order after 3 hours of waiting and after numerous phone calls chasing the order the gentleman over the phone didn't even apologise. , poor service, average food. Strongly advise to not buy from this place.

    I have used this place regularly in the past and it was always excellent. This wasn't the case with my last experience. After not using YCF for the best part of a year I ordered food via their website (not Eat Fresh or any other platform). The website notified me there would be a 50 minute wait. After 1 hour 20 mins I called them up and they appeared to have no record of my order. When I asked why, they said it was an issue with the Eat Fresh system. Confirming that I had not used Eat Fresh I was told the food was out for delivery as we spoke and that was why it was not on the system. With some scepticism I awaited my order knowing it was now more than 5-10 mins away. 30mins later, still no food. I called back and was told it was out with the driver as we spoke (again). I confirmed that the food order should be with me in the next 15 minutes and if it wasn't I wanted the cancel the order. This was agreed. 20 mins (over 2 hours total) later and still no delivery. I then called up to cancel the order to be told the driver was on my street as we spoke. This was clearly not the case as I have a good view of the street. I explained that I wanted my order cancelling and my money refunding. I also noted that I didn't appreciate being lied to. The order was cancelled and alternative food arrangements made. 25 mins later the delivery driver arrives with our food. Needless to say I called the office and told them I had called so why was it with me? After all the issues I expected the food to be complimentary with an apology. Instead no apology was offered and the food left with the delivery guy, presumably to be thrown in the waste. Needless to say I will never use YCF again.

    Never again, used to be good.......Used these guys for years, however every order in the last few months has taken over an hour to be delivered and today I received food which was clearly not what I ordered (which was also late)! Having argued with the β€˜manager’ for a good while, and being told it was my fault, I got a replacement of my order with the stipulation that I had to return the original food (with which I had no problem). Never using them again.
