   We visited Goa Spice as a party of 24 for a 60th birthday celebration, including two young children, and the experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted with doors opened for us and friendly smiles all around. The staff were incredibly attentive, polite, and genuinely welcoming, making our large group feel completely relaxed and comfortable. The service was amazing — nothing was too much trouble. They even kept our birthday cake cool for us and brought it out beautifully with the candles lit when we were ready, which made the moment feel extra special. The food was outstanding, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. Every single person in our group loved their meal, which is impressive with such a big party! The atmosphere was calm, relaxed, and ideal for a celebration. Goa Spice truly delivered in every way, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for both special occasions and everyday dining!

   Was the venue a public house at some point in its past… the shape and layout of the floor levels would suggest it may well have been? Overall it’s a strong average; that with some minor tweaking could push it in to the four star category. There wasn’t enough paneer in the Chilli Paneer starter for £5.95 and it also lacked the expected chilli potency. The Chicken Pathia was a good dish. The Mexborough Nan wasn’t anything special and overpriced at £4.20 The Special Rice was ok. A nice friendly owner. A bit of a dour downbeat interior lacking in identity and atmosphere. Would I return? I’d give them a second try and sample different fare from the menu to see if it can hit four stars.

   We had a home delivery from the Mexborough branch to Thurnscoe. Food was hot, arrived promptly. We had 9 items which were for 4 people. Tasty, fresh and nice flavours. The naan bread and onion bhagi were just fabulous! We would have liked some more chicken pieces in one of the dishes but otherwise fabulous portion size. We’re all sated.

   I've ordered a takeaway and only just got off the phone. 5 stars straight up for the help when asked about gluten free. Absolutely wonderful lad on the other end of the phone. He could not have been more helpful :)

   When I first moved up here, I tried local takeaway's and couldn't find a decent curry house. Tonight I tried Goa Spice for the first time. Making the order was easy, the guy I spoke to was friendly, unrushed and clear. The food was fantastic. It was clean, not too oily and still hot so I didn't have to warm it up. Good flavour and good portions. Thank you I recommend

   We are regulars at goas spice and tonight we went there for my wife's birthday as a table of 27. As usual sham, shell and the boys looked after us brilliantly and although there were so many of us the service was fantastic and the food as always was perfect. Simply the best Indian food in Mexborough by an absolute mile ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
