Excellent chippy food is always good portions are a good size the prices are fair. Very clean and the staff are pleasent
It was only the 2nd time I have been to King Cod, I wasn't disappointed. I had a regular cod which was plenty for myself. The batter was lovely and crisp. The Haddock that my mother had was huge, she said it was nice and moist as Haddock can be dry. Would well recommend it.
I have always rated King Cod, really good quality and fresh. However tonight, I ordered regular chips and rissole and was very disappointed. The chips and rissole were very dry, rubbery and did not taste fresh at all. Hope this is a one off
I went in on a Saturday night, not realising they closed at 9pm, so they had virtually no food left. I ordered chips, a battered sausage and large mushy peas and was charged £6.00!!! What an absolute rip off. The food was ok, but to be charged that amount is a joke!! The man in question, who I think is the owner, seemed perturbed by my even presence at such a time and he couldn't wait to get rid of me after charging me an exorbitant fee!! I will not be going again!
It's a top chipi everything is realy nice . And the staff are all realy cheerful. Give it a try
Excellent quality and portion size. Highly recommended by my family. Had to change from our usual chippy as they went card only for payment. Defo picked a gud'un with King Cod
Cooks in oil not dripping so not ad good as traditional fish and chips a bit expensive
Clean shop friendly staff great portion sizes I use this fish shop on a regular basis. Never had a complaint. Now changed hands not as good as it used to be. Shame . 31/03/2018 added one star after a couple of more visits much improved.
