Had Currys from here for last 20+ years..the curry we had last night was terrible..hard nans curry not up to there usual standard and cold chips...waste of £50
We have lived at Swallownest for almost 25 years. Poppadom express has always been our go to takeaway and had always been spot on. I'm not sure if recently it has new owners, a new chef or both but it is even better than ever! The food is amazing and fantastic value!
This place is a hidden gem. The food is amazing and the portions are great. We don’t live close by but still travel to get food from here. Would definitely recommend and customer service is always spot on. Always recommend trying it yourself as people are always quick to put down a negative review rather than a positive one.
Where can I start, used to be our go too Indian, now we’ve moved away we rarely get a chance to have it… I’m guessing the owners have changed more than once, nothing was like it was before.. special biryani was good, du piaza was good… the bread was the thinnest and worst we’ve ever had, ‘garlic chilli naan’ but I’m guessing they forgot the chilli because it was just raw cut up chilli’s on the bread (thin and dry).. missed our pilau rice (too far to drive back) the mint sauce was just diluted to the fullest! Best part was I have to order again if I was my £3 back for my rice aha… sorry guys never again for me! Biryani was good though not going to lie!
We have just ordered, chicken and lamb tikka starters, onion bhaji starters, pickle tray, meat rogan Josh and chicken bhuna. This is the third time we’ve ordered over the last 4 months and the food has been amazing! Once again not disappointed, the amount of meat in the curries was brilliant, had to send a review in as we are really really happy with this place.
Absolutely the worst Indian take away I have ever had. The supermarket ones are far superior. Tasteless korma, tough pishwari naan and tough chicken. The 1 good thing was that it was hot. Absolutely never again and what a waste of £9
Never again. Recently ordered from here and oh my word what a dump. The first takeaway in ages I had to leave and bin. If you want a decent takeaway, go to spice rack, never use this. The food tasted like rotten dog food and they even had eggs in here which tasted like used rubbers. If I could give a 0 I would. Please don't use this place, what a waste of money.
Exceptional food, superb quality, and spot on time. Simply could not fault at all. Lamb Tikka Buhna, Chicken Buhna and Chicken Tikka Korma. Absolutely spot on
I ordered last week a murgh massalam which was delicious,ordered it tonight,i got a korma,phoned up,and was told the chef had family issues?? That is good and well but no apology or anything else offered? The chicken was dry not what i expected.Probably wont be ordering again,disappointing.£14.60.
My hubby ordered from here tonight and never again . Food terrible chicken korma bland chicken tasted off . Prawn biryani 4 prawns not edible as overcooked and rubbery rice tasted like boiled rice curry sauce like water with a handful of veg floating in it and had a strange after taste. My hubby had a bhuna again like water hardly any meat and with a strange after taste. £31 in the bin as not edible I've grown up with Asian food and this is certainly like nothing I've ever tasted . Avoid
