   We went for a meal to celebrate an anniversary. The food was top notch, lovely flavours! Portion sizes were fantastic, it was like you got a slab of pie! Nice crispy onion rings You can bet that we will be back!!

   Waiting time for food was really good. Some staff were helpful but the lady that took order didn't take it correctly. Asked her for vinegar and didn't get any. Then left with top of mouth covered with grease from fish and chips. I understand that they are cooked in fat but they seemed to be cooked not long enough at to high a temp . We were polite to the staff and said thank you as we left but we won't be visiting again. The prices were good though and other people's food in our party was nice. Think it's just anything that comes out of the fryer

   Popped in on part of our return walk along the Pennine Trail, knew we wanted a coffee but not sure about food. Lovely lady that owns the business had a chat with us when we went in & ran through a few options, we were just inside the breakfast time slot so decided on coffee with a brioche sausage sandwich each. The pub is super cosy inside, they were just trimming up for Christmas but it's probably just as cosy in its 'festive undressed' state. Service was lovely, food very tasty & coffee spot on after being out walking in the cold, we'd definitely pop in again next time we're walking nearby.

   Cannot rate this place enough. Wonderful service, very friendly staff. Food is amazing and presentation fantastic. Haven’t had such good food in a long time. 10/10 for me. Loved it so much went back the next day.

   I honestly don't think the price reflects the quality of food you get. Maybe it was a bad day, I'm not sure. There was four adults and two children at the table, so we had a variety of food and we all had the same thoughts the food was "good" whereas based on the price we expected "excellent". It was better than pub grub, but not meeting restaurant standards. I hope I am wrong, and I am a bit reluctant to go back as this was our first time so we have nothing to compare against, but I think it would be fair to give it another go, one day. Majority of the staff were friendly, especially the younger ones they seemed well trained and good at what they do. Decor was nice, it was a nice looking pub and it seemed well looked after. Toilets clean.

   the food was amazing and the staff are so kind and lovely. they were very open to assisting with any dietary requirements (one person was gluten free and they were amazing with that). we had a small medical emergency while there and the staff were nothing but helpful - even phoning for help for us and checking in to make sure everything was okay after. truly cannot recommend this place enough!!

   Really nice Sunday dinner, beef served pink and melts in the mouth. My wife's chicken was also succulent and not at all dry. Cheesecake dessert was also really nice, the base at the edge tasted a bit burnt but apart from that a really nice meal. We have been here a few times and are never disappointed. Will be back again soon!
