We waited over an hour and 15 minutes for our food, when the food arrived it was cold, chips were old and stale, the beef baguette was cold and the gravy was quite sweet for some reason. Overall I would say it wasn't a good experience the pub was even cold to sit in considering it was a cold wet day outside.

Visited today (25/10/25) with my wife after a lovely walk around the shops. We spotted The Kings Arms and decided to give it a try. On arrival, we were greeted by a very polite gentleman who served us. The atmosphere was brilliant, warm, cosy, and welcoming. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes and it was absolutely delicious. My wife also really enjoyed her meal. Overall, a very positive experience! We’d definitely love to come back next time we might even stay overnight and enjoy a few beers.

I rated service 1 star because I waited 54 minutes for my food, they said that it was busy, it wasn't very busy at all! I rated food 2 stars because the burger buns were burnt and there were no onion rings, which I it said it came with on the menu. And I rated atmosphere 4 stars because they were playing good songs.

Warm welcome, nice ambiance, nice prices (£12 for pie, £14-16 for burgers) and fresh tasty food! Couldn't ask for more.

This was a fantastic pub to go drinking at, with a vintage design that also adds decorations! The counter is well-presented, staff were friendly in allowing me and my family to try a beer before purchase. I got a pint from the tap and drank it outside, sitting in a relaxing environment during the heat!

Great pub. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Beer selection is good. This was quieter than some of the other pubs that evening but we had a great time.

A lovely pub providing a most pleasant experience, it was the lady behind the bar who was so jolly and polite that contributed so much towards that. The big plus for me was it sold my beloved John Smith's the only place in Howarth that I could find it. It was popular with people wishing to have lunch, they even cooked something for a dog whilst I was in. The background music added to the enjoyment and I will return

Having stuffed a Sunday roast down across the road we walked into the King's Arms.. Had a lovely pint from local Bridgehouse brewery. Called Anne after my wife ( or maybe Anne Bronte.) In post tourist lull so no food at 6.30pm. Just locals drinking. Excellent. Good music. G L O R I A by Van the Man!

Love this very doggy friendly pub. We visited this fine old pub on a rainy Sunday afternoon and we loved the fact it served food but also welcomed muddy boots and dogs. Every dog gets a Sunday dinner whether their Mam and Dad buy oneor not. It's always a good sign when you see a water bowl out for the dogs. Fine pint of John Smith's. We didn't have a dinner, however, they looked to piled high, topped off with a massive Yorkshire pud. Definitely be calling in here again. With my dog.
