Pathetic. £6 for a fish that's smaller than a standard piece of cutlery. Dry as a bone too. Customers should get freshly cooked fish when they order, not the leftovers that have been sat in the warmer for God knows how long. Chips were dry as well. They also must have been sat in the tray for ages. £20 down the pan. I don't know how they've got the cheek to serve that rubbish. Will not be going back. Avoid at all costs.

Visited today, last few times I have been, have been really good and fresh don't know if changed ownership? The food was enjoyable and freshly made, the staff are also very friendly and chatty. I recommend.

Went here for a quick bite to eat. Was one of the best fish and chips i have had for a while. The fish batter was nice and crispy and the chips were great done in beef dripping not had them like this for years.

Great chippie, highly recommend. Great chips, with good amount of salt and vinegar. Good bread roll. Good Holland's pies. Haddock was lovely with amazing batter. Staff member who served us was lovely, and made us a origami inspired receptacle for us to eat our chippy. ~£18 for haddock and chips, chips butty, 2 x curry sauce, and a pie.

Well to say this is the worst fish and chips for quite a while, fish batter soggy, fish not sure what it was but it did not look or tatse like cod or haddock, chips uncooked and soggy. Never Will I go again, two chaps working there may also want to address their personal appearance. Shocking

I visited Crown Fisheries a few weeks ago. The staff were very friendly, and chatted as I waited for my freshly cooked fish and chips. The short wait was worth it, as this was the best fish and chips I've had for years.

We had fish, chips and battered sausage. The fish was tiny and the batter was wet and greasy. The chips were greasy and both were a soggy mess which neither of us could eat and pretty tasteless. The battered sausage was slightly spicy and very average, eat went in the bin Would not go back, should have realised when there were no other customers

Have called into here for years when visiting the town and use the takeaway side of this traditional chippy. The latest visit was as good as previous ones, battered sausage & chips was perfect, food was hot, great value prices and the service ok. Amazingly 'scraps' are available which is rare nowadays! There was a slight delay as a long queue was there being at lunchtime, so to be expected, but we always think a busy chippy means the food must be good and in our opinion it was. Recommended !
