   Vegan nachos could use improvement. The cheese quality was quite disappointingq it resembled a dry, parmesan-style sprinkle rather than a melted, flavourful vegan cheese. The salsa also didn’t feel authentic, as it seemed to be just a few chopped tomatoes, and the guacamole lacked creaminess and flavour. With better-quality, meltable vegan cheese and a proper salsa, the dish could be much more enjoyable and far less dry. There’s definitely potential, but it needs some adjustments to match expectations.

   We attended yesterday after the owner kindly reserved a table of 6 at short notice on a busy Sunday afternoon. Boothwood Inn is a very warm/welcoming place and very nice decor inside. The staff were very friendly and always happy to assist with anything, the owner takes time to speak with most people and is a very nice genuine guy. I ordered the roast beef dinner and I would honestly say this was one of the best dinners I have had (I told the owner I like fatty/well done beef) and when my dinner was brought out he also brought out a side plate of well done beef for me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. 10/10 for everything.

   I chose from retro menu, smaller dishes £8 but pie big enough for me. Lamb,ham and apple pie? Chicken souvlaki. Pudding seemed to be cake - had pecan, toffee & banana . Very good value therefore. Nachos to share starter. Nice vibe, live band 3 on strings, mandolin, singing oasis song.

   We’ve been going to the Boothwood for over 8yrs now and the food and service is always 5* the menu has something for everyone. A great “retro” menu with smaller portions Mon-Friday. Also a fantastic specials board and a tasty range of desserts. Highly recommend if your in the area as just off the M62 J22 In Rishworth.
