   Staff seemed to have no idea about the food, what menu we could have or what ingredients were in any of the dishes (have a food allergy so needed to know), noone seemed in control of service. Had to get our own menus, condiments and cutlery. No allergies displayed on any of the menus. Food we had was very average and expensive.

   Came across this pub by accident and was very pleased that we had. The food was truly excellent, the lamb pie that I had couldn't possibly have been improved. A mention of the cask ale too which was kept in superb condition. Will definitely return.

   The best pie I’ve ever eaten! The pastry is nothing like you’ve tasted before! The steak and Stilton is the best! You can put in requests for specific deserts like cheesecakes! The lemon cheesecake is good but the banoffee one is probably the best! Need to book as it’s always busy and to avoid dissapointment of things running out

   Such a cozy spot with delicious food! The atmosphere is super warm and inviting, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect place for a chill meal or date night. Just make sure to book a reservation ahead of time, it fills up quickly, especially on weekends!

   Gorgeous little village pub, pays to book to be on the safe side as its very popular but we were early so there was plenty of room for us. Been here a couple of times now and have never been disappointed with the food. Everything is homemade including the desserts. This time both my parter and I had the steak pie with veg and chips. The pie is always full of filling and the pastry is lovely, with a jug of gravy on the side. The staff are lovely and told us about their takeaway cheesecakes when we said how full we were. Would be rude not to so we took a slice of rocky road cheesecake home and wow! Just as amazing as the meals. Definitely one of our favourite local places to eat. Update - been back again and tried the Pie of the Week, which was minted lamb and potato. It was delicious, well worth a try. We were too full for dessert again but took home a bit of mint choc chip cheesecake, which also did not disappoint! Also brought friends who also can't wait to go back to try more on the menu.

   Delicious home cooked food and a good price . Varied menu and good quality produce. Probably the best pub meal we had . Faultless. Pub inside is very clean and warm welcoming place. Dogs welcome with their own area which is equally warm and comfortable. Will definitely be back and if you ha ent tried it we reccomed it . Nice drive too from Sheffield and surrounding areas.

   If you’re looking for a good, reliable pub with hearty warm meals and a space for muddy paws, look no further. You and your pooch are in for a treat! Every time I’ve been here I’ve never been disappointed. My favourites are the pies and Sunday dinners. The staff are so accommodating to dogs as well - there’s more than enough treats for them too!

   Fishcakes were lovely. Friendly accommodating staff that moved us from a high table to a lower one due to one of us struggling with mobility. Biggest handcut chips I've ever seen!! Highly recommended.

   Lovely village & country pub serving homemade traditional food. Better than your average chain of pubs by far. We chose the rump steak & asked for ‘well done’ & it was cooked to perfection with tasty hand cut chunky chips, onion rings & homemade peppercorn sauce. #Delicious, we’ll be coming back for more soon & recommended to our friends.
