Tried here for the first time tonight and I certainly won’t be returning. My son had some prawn toast (2 slices) - They charged us £12 for. The soups were very watery and the main courses were very dry and felt like they’ve been reheated as opposed to cooked fresh. The main courses were very rubbery and greasy and half of the group have all come home feeling very sick. Not worth the money given the quality of food.

Food was ok, unfortunately the managers front of house skills are far from great, if you ask for something that he hasn’t advised or ask for an additional dish after he’s taken the order to the kitchen it very clearly puts him out, it’s advertised as an eat all you can eat buffet, but yet he tells you to order two dishes then order more, which is fair enough for waste etc I get that, but these are smaller portions, not main meals, we went for the all you can eat so we can try different dishes, not to be told what we can or can’t order, if a customer wants 1 or 5 dishes then what business is it of his? they missed some of the dishes off too, may have been a simple mistake but the way he was talking I think it was intentional, I ordered the additional dish I wanted after the previous dishes as instructed, to be reminded we only have the table for 1.5 hours, and it came out when everyone else had finished so defeats the object of the eat all you can meal, it wasn’t even a great amount of food we were ordering, a couple of dishes each so that coupled with him endlessly faffing around the table, it wasn’t a comfortable enjoyable meal really, he clearly likes to be in control and unfortunately pushes that on the customers, it felt we were rushed and he made people feel awkward over ordering something, It’s put us off now so won’t be returning.

Meal for 5 tonight , was delicious, hot and fresh and the owner / staff were very friendly. All had soups , plenty of starters and mains. Garlic mushrooms were so good . Not a scrap left at the end , as it should be . Will happily return , very much enjoyed it

We have been to Kwei Ping twice recently and on both occasions we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food is outstanding, the guy who runs/owns the restaurant is always cheerful and friendly and the restaurant itself is smart, clean and tidy. The Sunday Buffet is also really good value.

Really love this restaurant! The food is always delicious and full of flavor. The service is excellent, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I’ve ordered takeout before and the delivery was super fast, and dining in was just as great — cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Definitely a place I’d recommend to friends!

Best Chinese in the high peaks As we arrived at kwei ping, we was greeted by this great chap with good banter and a brilliant personality. We was the seated in a restaurant with oriental feel and smooth, calm atmosphere. We ordered an array of appetisers that all came out tasty and hot. We then ordered a platter of mains that came out as good as the appetisers. Overall I would give it top marks in terms of quality taste and price. Would highly recommend and would gladly go again.

Visited a few times recently and always consistently good. Table service very attentive and always check if you're happy with the meals ordered. Drinks fairly priced and always happy to help when asked. Recommended if your local or in the area

Been coming here a while. The older gentleman that used to wait on was lovely and made the experience worth while, however he has been replaced by a younger man who is very rude. We placed our order to be asked is that just for you as thats quite a lot and we do charge for waste, having visited numerous of times before we know the portion sizea are small and it's what we usually have. He leans over you to take plates when the rest of the table are still eating. Unfortunately we won't be returning because of the above. He has ruined the experience and is highly rude

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I was so impressed with Kwei Ping that I would feel bad not to! I only recently moved to the area and I had a great Chinese down the road from me where I used to live so couldn’t wait to find a replacement. I tried Canton King and found it to be average so came to Kwei Ping with a few friends. We went in but ordered a takeaway, the restaurant felt really cute and authentic, the staff were friendly and we were well looked after. We ordered a ridiculous amount of food for the 4 of us (bill came to just over £90) so we ordered some drinks while we waited, thinking that it could be a while. We were offered to sit at a table and were given prawn crackers while we waited and the food was ready super quickly anyway (think only one of us managed to finish their drink in that time). We were so impressed with every single thing we had, the flavours were perfect, nothing was too oily or too salty and every single thing was hot even though we ordered so much. We already can’t wait to come in for the all you can eat menu!

Lovely venue, really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were very polite and offered great customer service. The food was good (we went on a Sunday and had dishes from the "All you want to eat" menu) - a bit too salty for our taste but beautifully presented.
