Had this chippy for the first time recently and its my new go to. Such good value and fresh cooked food. Salt and pepper chicken, salt and pepper chips, shredded crispy chilli chicken and BBQ spare ribs were all delicious.
New owners I had crispy spring rolls, chicken fried rice and curry sauce. The crispy spring rolls were grease and soggy, the chicken fried rice was bland and cold, the curry was bright orange. I WILL NOT BE GO BACK AGAIN AWFUL
Had to wait ages to get served for fish and chips. More phone orders than they can handle, with more and more customers waiting for the simple things…. Fish and chips etc. Now for the food… Awful ! Only way I can describe it. The thinnest piece of cod (that’s what it was meant to be) I’ve ever had. Chips weren’t the best, and tasted like last nights warm ups. I usually give my cats a bit of fish as a treat. They both turned their noses up at it, so now I’m worried I’m going to be ill as it didn’t look very nice and was not at all tasty. Binned it all after a few mouthfuls.. not at all palatable. Cannot describe how poor this food was. Oh how this place is still in business I don’t know and Quite probably will be my last visit to this place, and would rather drive onto Castle St. and get a decent portion of chips, and a much nicer fish…. And if they’re closed, do without!
It's just changed ownership and whilst we did like it before, the food is a massive improvement. We've tried the Singapore Vermicelli - very spicy. Just like it's supposed to be. Tonight we had kung po, and again it was excellent. Recommended.
Best Chinese in the Edgeley area. Singapore vermachali and the Special Cashew Nut are fantastic. For a quick tea the Chicken Breast with half rice and chips with curry sauce..Beautiful...one note it's Cash Only
Their salt and pepper box is right up there with the best I have ever had. I would of uploaded a pic but unfortunately by the time I went to take a picture I had already destroyed it. It’s unbelievably fresh. You won’t be disappointed trust me. The other dishes are also banging.
Absolutely amazing! Every single time I have been there , just had a Chinese from here now and was so tasty the best Chinese I’ve ever had ! Would definitely recommend
Always top of the drawer Chinese food from here. I usually have the Beef Chow Mein which is always delicious. Don't do delivery or have website & it's worth noting that its cash only but none of these reason not to give it a try.
Used to go to Long Fung but it has gone downhill since new ownership. Stumbled upon this place and so glad we did. Food has been excellent every single time. Loving the black pepper sauce.
We love the Chinese meals from here. Freshly made, not too greasy large portions. sometimes it's difficult to park outside, but you can find a space a few yards up the road usually. this is always our going to Chinese. It would be a million times better if they offered delivery but you can't have everything. I will still give it five stars just for the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff.
