If you want tough and barely warm food,atkinsons is your place .Had a 5 item breakfast and everything was barely warm and as tough as leather boots..horrible. go get s greggs butty,at least you know itll be fresh n hot
It's the staff that make this place special. The lovely ladies that work there are so kind, thoughtful and attentive to customer. They are always so friendly, cheerful and helpful and i often see them offer to carry trays for people that are less able.
Had what was supposed to be Meat and Potato Pie yesterday. I had one piece of meat and one very small piece of diced potato. Mashed potato was so sloppy so my plate was swimming in sloppy potato and gravy. Carrots tasteless, really disappointing!! Don’t think I will be eating there again.
Called in yesterday on the spur of the moment and so pleased we did. Staff were helpful and friendly, selection of cakes and pastries was excellent, coffee hot and better than most of the well known coffee chains and when the food came it was piping hot and of good quality. The prices are not cheap but very reasonable for the quality of the menu items. I've not been in this cafe for many years but will definitely be back very soon.
We enjoyed our roast dinner meals but sadly the desserts were a let down. This was the bread and butter pudding and custard which was inedible. I think they forgot to put the custard powder in the water and it was just like bread and water pudding. To say they were £4.99 each that was a waste of almost £10 for us both. We were offered a free dessert on our next visit but we shall not be returning. The cutlery was dirty also and we tried a few spoons and they were all the same with dried food on them.
Good basic range of well priced food. Friendly staff.
ignorant staff in the restaurant one in particular not a please or thank you..practically threw my food on the table ...wont be going again........
Where people say its a lovely restraint...well they must be blind and have no taste...i recently had a breakfast there and it was awful...every item apart from the fried egg was very cold..i took it back and they just put it in microwave for 1 minute and it was still cold...shocking..it wants closing down
This is a good restaurant the staff are always pleasant but it would be nice to have some light music playing because all you can hear are the fridges running the rest of the store has music playing so why can't the restaurant.
