   Had great visit here. The night we visited the place was packed. The food was very good and service exceptional. We happened to visit on a quiz night and joined the locals in the pub quiz. Glad we went. (They had a group booking for 19 the evening we visited)

   We had lunch here on a Thursday. We both had the chicken Holstein, which was great, the only "problem" being that the portion size was almost too big to finish! Would definitely come again. I don't know why it was so quiet - we were almost the only ones there.

   Had a family meal here with the Kids , service and food was of a reasonably good standard. We tried Haddock and chips, Fish pie, kids veggie burger and veggie pasta. All of it was of a decent standard. It was our second visit for lunch. This place is so convenient for Millhouses Park and even has a private gate from the car park directly into the park.

   Mid week lunch - 4 of us - we had Pie (excellent), Fish & Chips (huge fish) and Omelette (absolutely huge!). The Hendo's Onion Rungs were to die for! Great food and good beer choice - all in all we enjoyed and will return.

   Could be such a better vibe if they cared. Never the best of visits just an ok pub in a great location. Edit: for more info... We were recently in on Christmas eve and your staff were loudly commenting ahead of closing "that they have a Christmas to go to as well and don't want to be stuck here" would be a laugh if it was a bit more sarcastic and smiley thank serious I guess. Another time we were told we shut soon before making an order as though we shouldn't be there near the end of the day.

   We had my brother's wake here in December 2022. Cant thank the staff enough. Communication for organising what we wanted was great. Staff were sympathetic, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and plentiful in a good space for around 70 people.

   Went for a Sunday Roast, good service, good food. Not necessarily the cheapest place but is good value for money. Left feeling full. It has Vegan Sunday Roast options which is rare. Right next to a lovely park for a stroll too which is great.
