   I visited this fish and chip shop for the first time today and was greeted by some lovely staff which made for a great first impression. The prices were also very reasonable, and I was excited to try the food. Unfortunately, the quality didn’t quite match the service. The chips were cold, hard and had the texture of having been reheated and the curry sauce was quite watery. I was especially looking forward to the pickled onions as you don’t see them very often but they were soft and tasted off assuming they had been sat there a while potentially out of date the same goes for the pickled egg my partner ordered. While the low prices initially made me keen to come back the food quality has put me off returning. A shame as the service was lovely and the place had potential.

   Excellent chippy - as a location, Crookes has a really high standard of Fish & Chips, but I would say this is the best in the area. Fresh food, reasonable prices, and very friendly staff.

   Friendly and welcoming with a great menu and plenty of veggie/vegan options. The curry sauce is heavenly and the batter is perfect, not too greasy. Always freshly cooked and tasty food. Fantastic value for money, especially the lunch deal. Even though we've now moved to the other side of the city, we still go back and introduce all our friends to it. Would 100% recommend!

   Batter on any of the products was just awful can't even call it batter, inside the fish was good but outside the fish and the battered sausage was awful, the chips have seen better days looks like they haven't changed the oil in weeks....

   Great chippy. Chips are spot on every time. Have only had the jumbo saussage and not the fish, but still can testify that its tastey and salty. Good prices and a variety of options for veggies and vegans.

   My first time ordering from this place and it won't be the last. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. I ordered a pea fritter regular chips and a vegan sausage and it came to £5 which is an absolute bargain! Very tasty food. Can't wait to order again.
