   Popped in on the off chance of a table, luckily one had just come available by the fire, lovely! (*we should have booked, it was very busy which tells you something about a place), we were met with the warmest of smiles and welcomes, the service, food (the Christmas melt was absolutely divine and packed with filling), atmosphere and cleanliness was right up there, a straight 10/10 from us, absolutely tremendous, the best tea house/fresh light well cooked lunches in Derbyshire, we will definitely be going back. *The coffee ☕ - strong and black as we like it, spot on!

   My new favourite tea rooms. The staff are welcoming and attentive, and the breakfasts are delicious and very well presented; it feels like a real treat. Today the Christmas decs were up and the log burner was creating a warm, cozy atmosphere. I had crumpets with cream cheese, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. It was delicious. The attention to detail with the food, the atmosphere, and the customer service is excellent. I highly recommend!

   So cute! The staff were all so sweet, and the cheese scone was to die for. Definitely recommend getting the chutney to spread- it is delicious! Between the friendly service, cute atmosphere, and tasty bites, The Old Smithy @ Beeley is the perfect way to start your day!

   We decided to come here for our lunch today as my daughter had finished yr12 at Lady Manners and we wanted somewhere local to go. We were seated inside, there is ample seating both inside and outside. We chose the flatbreads - my daughter had the hummus, chickpea, roasted vegetable and halloumi flatbread and I had the tandoori chicken flatbread which had cucumber and yogurt, red cabbage, red onion, mango chutney and lovely large pieces of nicely spiced tandoori chicken. Both were absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back, we didn’t have room to try any of the delicious cakes on display or the coffees.

   One of the best places to eat, relax and have a conversation that matters. Amazing food, atmosphere and one of the nicest and most attractive staff I have come across. We always feel very welcome and our dog Denver love this place as he always gets a treat and fuss :)

   after hiking hills behind the Beeley village, arrived 2pm on thursday. it was full inside restaurant because it was raining. A good quality home cooked food is serviced in this cafe/restaurant. the portions of some dishes may be small. It has a good range home made cakes. we ordered meals from special menu were delicious. we definitely will go back for other dishes.

   Came here for breakfast yesterday, which was absolutely lovely, good coffee, and saw they let dogs inside all great points, but mainly I had a particular requirement I forgot to mention until I received my food and even though it was my error they went out of their way to find out and even tried to fix it for me which was extremely kind and really helpful. So thank you, it was really appreciated and we enjoyed our visit.

   Lovely food what there was of it but very very small portion, slow service. Complained about size of meal but no compensation offered. Had the chicken satay skewers meal from specials, £9.50 for about £1.00 worth of food see picture
