Very friendly family run shop, even better food served in a hygienic sitting. Tried my first fish and chips here and absolutely loved it! Highly recommended.
I don’t know how this place has any ratings less than 5 stars! The food was absolutely incredible, we had a battered sausage and it wasn’t oily at all, but really crisp and light. Loads of chips! Great portions! Thank you for such a lovely experience, everyone is so friendly! The picture doesn’t do this any justice as we’d already started eating! Honestly, if you haven’t tried please do!
Long overdue review. New owners who are brilliant. I nipped in here at 8:55 on a Monday. They shut at 9. They’d closed the kebabs off which is what I wanted. Not only did they put me together a kebab but also bit of what was left in the hot cabinet (as they were shutting in minutes). Potato scallops, a sausage. Food was awesome. The kebabs are absolutely brilliant. The owner and colleagues really lovely people.
The veg burger and chips meal was fantastic. The burger was amazingly fresh, juicy, and delicious, and the best part is that the whole thing was so cheap! Seriously good deal. Will definitely be back.
Can't fault the quality and portion size, again chose this due to the review, yep in my top 10 fish and chip shops now. We are here in Bakewell for a week, so will definitely return.
Perfect fish & chips due to quality fresh fish & traditional cooking methods being used, which ensures the batter is cooked right through & no excess grease. Nicely flavoured chips, & peas are good too. Good customer service, very clean & very good price for such good quality! I personally can’t believe any poor reviews are from genuine customers.
Yet another fish and chip review from me. Super clean establishment and nice polite staff. We had the fish and chip special that includes mushy peas. Priced at £5.45 this has to be one of the best value takeaway fish and chips in the country. Lovely chips and a nice light crispy batter to the haddock. Will definitely use again when in the area.
