Can’t speak for midweek but late on a Friday this was a bit Wild West. Also plenty of characters up for a laugh in here. You can be your own DJ too. Very eclectic set up shall we say and probably a bit of a tapping off place. Funny!
Nice little cocktail bar. No food, just beers and cocktails. A bit rough and ready. Cocktails are 2 for £9 before 6 pm or 2 for £12 after.
The security here is completely overboard. A friend of mine took his shirt off for a moment as a joke an the bouncer instantly grabbed him and wrestled him in to the middle of the busy A6 road. Do not go to this place. No friendliness at all!!! Go to Monk or 2010 instead and you will enjoy it much much more!!!

Went again to eat and the food was incredible. It’s hands down the best I’ve eaten in Matlock. Pork belly skewers were fantastic, and the salt and pepper squid incredible, honestly. Went as a party of 12, and every single one of us was impressed with the food. Staff were are excellent, really friendly and chatty, and they did a great job of looking after us. Updated June 2021 Menu has reasonably changed, and I personally find the new menu limited and disappointing (I was really looking forward to belly pork and cheese lollipops again, both now gone). Decors also changed a bit. It still looks cool, very punk / tattoo, but I did prefer the decor before.
Had a lunchtime meal and a drink here, the food was amazing, we had paella and squid and it was really affordable, the atmosphere was perfect and the staff were friendly.
