Super tasty fish n chips n lots of other items on the menu. Was served piping hot. Good size portions and reasonable price.
Great fish and chips, also a mixed meat kebab wrap. Picked up a takeaway whilst on holiday at Darwin Forest, would definitely return and recommend. Very friendly staff.

Haven't been here for a long time, decided to try again. The portions were very generous and perfectly hot. But would have say unfortunately the chips were not cooked through and were hard. Then so disappointed in the fish, again a very generous fish but the white fish was slimy and had a funny taste I wonder if something not quite right. It smelled a bit too. The batter was very soggy and I am afraid we didn't eat the batter after tasting. The shop was lovely and clean and experience great from staff. Just the food needs to be checked.
Stopped of here for Large Fish & Chips with Mushy Peas. £13.00ish. Fish cooked to order and was pleasant, chips were hot too but as I had them wrapped that went soft, as did the batter Which stuck to the paper and wasn't chrispy. My own fault. Worst thing was although the lady asked she forgot to put Salt and Vinegar on.
Best Chippy around in my opinion , the food is excellent , the staff are brilliant and nothing is too much for them. Friendly staff, spotless shop and excellent food and drink
Excellent chips fish and for the first time ever mushy peas that were piping hot . Definately go there again even though. We live in chaddesden
Been a couple of times and it was ok . Just been tonight and ordered a cod and battered sausage and a portion of chips to share. The cod was really small and thin for how much it costs . Overall it cost £18.00 . Sadly we are disappointed, it’s a good job there is a hundred fish and chip shops in Matlock to choose from.
after walked around the halldale wood and holt wood, i had a small fish and chips with chilli sauce. sat outside and ate them, outdoor seats and tables are provided by the shop. the batter on fish was crispy. chips were crispy aswell.
