   Heard this place is very good so came for a bite to eat, first visit. Food is vegetarian, or at least the ones we had. We went for a mixture of their pakoras and two bowls of their "curry" (more like a sweet and sour dish) but they were all gorgeous. The pakoras were really good, the "curries" had alot of kick to them but were very tasty. Service was very friendly and helpful. Prices were exceptionally reasonable. Definitely a good place to try.

   The food tastes great but the prices are ever increasing slightly multiple times a year. There is a great selection and the customer facing premises look clean. The staff aren’t over friendly or anything special, no music or chit chat for ambience. Staff don’t engage in friendly conversation otherwise it would be more pleasant with the wait inside the shop with clothes smelling of oil. Air conditioning isn’t so evident to flow properly. Hope the prices whilst currently ok don’t become too steep to stop my custom.

   The place was very clean and welcoming. Well lit and and has pleasant smell of good food cooking and not like a stinky food factory like a few I've visited! Good things take time and that is something you'll need to consider while going here. I'll leave the reasons for the delayed service to the owners but the food makes it all worth while. Probably not an ideal place if you are in hurry. Tried a few snacks Chana Masala + Bhatura was lipsmacking good. Less oil in bhaturas and tasty chana masala ( wasn't spicy, which is a good thing because many just consider spicy = tasty ) Dhokla: 1 plate gets you 2 pieces but they were fresh. The chutney was okay not that great. Samosa: Was alright too nothing too special. Seemed to be fried in fresh oil. DahiWada: Well this was a disappointing one. The wada was weirdly soggy and the sour chutney on the dahi messedup the taste. The curd wasn't best either. GulabJamun with IceCream: I feel, is a must have. Gulab Jamun was nice hot paired with cream. Just amazing! The people serving were very courteous but looked over worked. Handled everything well. To summarize, will surely visit again may be to try some other dishes. If you plan then make sure you've got enough time at hand and avoid peak hours like lunch.

   Great food and friendly staff who helped 2 beginners (us) through the menu for our sit down meals. Good value too with lots of curry type dishes to choose from. They're definitely worth a visit when you're in Leeds - just for the fresh samosas (with a spicy, minty sauce) - amazing !

   Yummy, scrummy, delicious and Vegan! No picture is going to do justice to how delicious the food is from Anand’s. So you’ll just have to accept the opinion of someone who has eaten Indian Food all over the world and in every venue imaginable. Anand Sweets are great. We’ve bought lots of different types of food from here. Sweets, savoury, dhals, whatever we have bought has been great.

   I liked Anand Sweets as I used to visit since 2007. It is not as good as it used to be. I am here to give my honest review. What I experienced at the shop. Customer service is terrible. As I was wearing a mask the server couldn't hear me. I could see hear getting annoyed. This is not the customer service I used to receive in this place before. I still told her in actions as I didn't want to take my mask down but I did. I felt like I was not welcomed. She only said have a nice day and not thank you. The paneer pakoras were average, the also tikki was too salty but the lassi was good. Update: I visited this restaurant again yesterday. I thought to give it another chance to see if the service was improved. I very disappointed as it has become even worse. It was busy and the was not enough staff, the staff who were there didn't seem to care about the customers. I was in the queue for 20 minutes with my pregnant wife. Non of the staff members were interested in asking the customers if they were been served or not. People who came after us were served. There was no proper organisation. There were two customers at the till who had placed their orders but still blocking everyone else. The staff seemed like they didn't care and went on with their business. The food was below average as well. The pakoras seemed like they were dry and blend, the gulab jamun were average. If you want to try Indian food there are plenty of places in and around Harehills are who off tasty Indian food as well as good service.

   Having watched Remarkable Places to Eat a few years we really wanted to visit! So a big detour on a long journey found us here! So glad we came. Amazing samosas and pickles. Brilliant service by Sharon, Parul and team. Totally worth a half hour detour!

   Absolutely love it! The prices have increased thought... Would love it if you could bring down the prices and add more variety to menu and introducing cheaper items like vada pav, misal pav, pohe, sabudana khichadi.
