Gorgeous Chinese food! We used to live just down the road, but even after moving further away, we still keep coming back here. That says it all, the food is absolutely amazing. Always worth the trip!
I have just had the single worst takeaway ever! I’m that appalled from my experience, I have rang this fake Chinese takeaway, myself as I couldn’t believe what they served me - chicken none chow main, jelly spare ribs and and the single worst orange curry sauce, which I think they drained it from outside, I would strongly recommend that you never order anything from this place, what was I thinking!!
Abysmal. Food was inedible to the point where it didn’t even taste like the meat it was supposed to be, never mind the radioactive looking curry sauce. Considering I had to go out of my way to obtain cash for such a disgrace, is in its self… shocking. I’m sure rotten food would be more palatable than what we received.
After using this takeaway for the past five years, the prawn crackers were really stale. When we called to advise this, we were told that they were cooked two days ago and they should be fine. Anybody knows that prawn crackers are cooked immediately before serving. Makes you wonder if the prawn crackers are cooked two days prior - what else is! NEVER AGAIN. Makes your stomach churn.
I want to Manchester for the first time and this was my first lunch in the city. As an American who lives in a city with very good Chinese food I had high expectations. Happy House exceeded them. Absolutely fantastic food, I particularly enjoyed the short ribs. They were tender and delicious. The absolute best spot around John Leigh park!
I'm sorry but as a chef of 30yrs (and had accolades with it) I can safely say I have never know such a bad Chinese. 2 weeks ago I ordered some S&P ribs and hot and soup - the ribs just tasted "off" full stop and the soup was not even close to average. I've given them a chance tonight with just a staple (chicken & sweetcorn soup !). I couldn't eat a second mouthful as I spat the first one straight back out. Watered down, sugar added and the worst 'soup' I've ever had... vile even. Avoid like the plague.
Ordered this tonight, everything was awful! Chicken balls weren’t fully cooked, chips hard, rice had no flavour, just a lot of grease, sausage was almost black it was so over cooked. Husband took it back to get a refund; they argued with him even though they could see it all for themselves, gave a refund minus the ‘free’ coke and prawn crackers and took for the sausage even though my ten yr old only had a bite from it: won’t be going again.
Last night was 1st time we have ordered from here, it was perfect, phone call was answered quickly, ordered for a certain time it was delivered spot on time, food was best we have had in ages, will definately order again we would highly recommend
Love this Chinese! We use this most weekends and the salt and pepper chicken is my absolute favourite. The staff are lovely and the food is never late when we order for delivery. Portions are a good size too and the prices are really reasonable. Would highly recommend!
