I booked a table for me and 3 friends fir s Christmas meal. We had been last year and the meal was lovely with first class service. The table was festive. What a difference this year. There was no table set out for a festive meal and the floor was dirty and didn't look as if it had been swept. The starter was OK but the main meal was atrocious. The turkey was grey , dry and bore no resemblance to meat!! It looked like a piece of worn leather .We all left it and it put us off the rest of the meal. The only saving grace was the dessert. Needless to say , we won't be going there again.

Sat in the play area kids loved playing in there menu has need changed and not a great choice, our food came all together so well done as there was a few of us however some of it was cold my burger the bun was toasted too much so it was hard and I had roughly 10 chips and a small amount of coleslaw that wasent the best popcorn chicken with hardly any chicken in and again very small amount of chips they wos also cold, it's a shame really as it's a nice big pub it could do with closing down for a week and having a really good deep clean carpets tables and quite a lot of dust won't be going back in a hurry

Had such a poor experience at this place. It was very noisy and the restaurant seemed more of a playground than the play area. Had to wait 40 minutes. When we asked about food it came like it had been sitting waiting to be brought out. The food was really poor quality. I asked for a salad with my burger what I got was a small amount of lettuce roughly chopped with half a tomato and 5 slices of cucumber. One of our parties meals didn’t even come and a further wait of 10 minutes occurred. Burger was poor quality. Such a shame. Would not go there again.

Can only give one star unfortunately, I would not recommend going here, had burger and chips , tiny burger like a child’s meal, burnt chips, asked for a bottle of tomato sauce she obliged by bring a empty bottle over and leaving it on the table. The table we sat on resembled a school desk from the 1990s, It used to be really nice here going back 20 years, sadly standards have fallen through the floor. Was going to have dessert but after the lunch we just had, thought it was better to pass and move on. Crusty food particles on the table too, not pleasant.

Great place for children! Play area near the eating area makes it great to meet family with children. It's a standard pub with reasonable prices. It's just what you want if you want to get the family together. Had a lovely time. Thanks

Staff very helpful and friendly but they need training on current offers, pricing etc for meal deals so that they are consistent. Meal deal options should be to the max value allowed, regardless of internal policies, otherwise the companies paying are not getting full value for money as intended for their employees. Portions are generous, but cuisine could do with more flavour. The fish pie was the best of the pick. The 3 stars are for the staff and their welcoming attitude and willingness to help.

Cheap and cheerful weekday lunch out - we called here as I was aware they had a play area for our little one but unfortunately that was closed (they mentioned it has just been assembled so not sure if they have had it down for something or whether they have had it replaced etc.)... food was ok, nothing special but was good value for money. Weekday special 2 mains for £8.99. Kids meal £3.99. Cheap and cheerful.
