Really lovely meal, food was excellent, steak was juicy and thick, pork tomahawk succulent, veg cooked perfectly. Chicken was moist and tasty. Desserts were just right especially the pimp your brownie. Staff attentive and friendly, helpful and happy. Will definitely be going again
Amazing food and service. We had a pork tomahawk and the halloumi flatbread. There were many vegetarian options which was great for me. Chefs name was Nicky and the food and presentation was brilliant. Would definitely recommend to others
Lovely pub, both staff and regulars where very welcoming. Sophie brought our food over and made sure we had an enjoyable evening. Food was delicious, will definitely be returning
Tried this pub for the first time for a lunchtime catch up meal with a great mate. We were not disappointed. Great experience and the customer service was superb, especially a lady serving our table and sorting our bill whose name I did not get! Will definitely visit again.

Overall, enjoyed this. Came in last week at around half 4 thinking I'd beat the teatime rush. I didn't, because the food took around an hour to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Good traditional fare. Bit crowded in the dining area, a large family of noisy kids. Surprised for a Tuesday, but I guess it just shows that this is a popular pub. Nice pint of Guinness too
I came to meet up with friends from many years standing. It was lovely to see them. Everyone seemed to enjoy their afternoon. Thank you our meals were good and the staff were very efficient. I even new one of your ladies Catherine.
Great food at a great price. Only reason it's getting 4 stars is because the haloumi starter was a bit boring and the steak was over cooked with the mixed grill. Other than that it was great and staff were friendly.
Friendly helpful staff,the food here for our party of 8 was amazing,no complaints at all,the Nashville nachos, sharing platters,onions rings,chips, garlic breads all served very quickly and the food was just so so good! Id even come over from Blackburn to The Stag again for a meal the food was that good.
