No idea why it was so quiet on a Saturday night... the beer was fab, albeit at city-centre prices, there was live music, and we had plenty of space to mill around and chat. Will definitely be back one day!

Spacious bar. The over-priced drinks were to be expected in such a central location. However the loudness of the music was unnecessary - the speakers above the seating areas were far too loud and made it difficult to maintain a conversation. Won't be visiting again.

They still have on their website that they have Pilsner Urquell in tanks. They don't. My company was very dissapointed as we went there especially. I ordered cider - it was flat & warm. Vile. My company had one of the local lagers and said it was "ok". Very loud music in almost empty bar on Saturday afternoon. No atmosphere and couldn't talk either.

Hacker Pschorr no longer on tap, which is a shame. Staff were friendly, but drinking warm German beer from very odd and unusually thick "glasses" was a real let down. A shame, really, as I used to love this place.

Bar was chilled with quite a nice atmosphere. Drinks were excellently made and you could tell the guy really knew what he was doing with an extensive menu of cocktails with different twists to known cocktails.

Needed to find somewhere to drink before a meal. Saw a small sign outside that said £4 Pilsner Urquell from a Beer Tank and 2-4-1 cocktails until 8pm (including Saturdays!), So we were intruiged to say the least. Went down the stairs and the cocktails on offer were really and surprisingly great. Great aesthetics in the venue too, seemed like it had good potential for an evening DJ set too, but we didn't stay long enough to find out. Very surprised this place isn't bustling on a Saturday, definitely worth checking out if you find yourself in the Northern Quarter.

The beer and alcohol available here is good... And you can see the tanks that some of it is being brewed in, which is always a good thing. The prices are reasonable and the decor is great, considering its basically an underground German beer hall style. The main problem here is that is is always empty/ way too quiet! It seems great in every way, bit there are hardly ever people inside which is obviously not great for try atmosphere. It's easy to chat though so I would fully recommend that people use this bar before or is lost.

This is a weird place. I'd not recommended going. I went with confidential vouchers and after he'd scanned them I was told i had to spend them all immediately or lose it. This hasn't happened anywhere before. Normally you just open a tab. The supervisor was a horrible person. She waa really unhelpful and aggressive. When we went on a Wednesday evening there were 6 people in, so it's not as though they were busy. Poorly run company.
