   My partner and I barely eat out anywhere anymore since I was diagnosed with coeliac disease, bur decided to give Mr. Chans a try after a recommendation by a friend. And let me tell you, we are so glad we did. It genuinely is the best Chinese we have had in all of the UK, not just the region. There was a huge choice of gluten free food on the menu which was so refreshing to see. My beef was extremely tender, and so was my partner's. The staff are lovely and serve you with a smile. The owner himself even had a chat with us and all the other guests on other tables which was really nice to have! The restaurant was full of customers who you can tell are repeat customers which is a great thing to see and a testament for how good this place is. Thank you! We will be back very soon :)

   The best Chinese restaurant I have visited. From the warm and welcoming staff to the unbelievable food (perfect portions at very reasonable prices), we couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience… but the evening didn’t end there. Charlie (the owner), had recommended a great bottle of red wine which we went and finished in the whisky lounge before having a few drams of the whisky’s themselves. Such a great selection from all across the world, you will not be disappointed. Again, very fairly priced. I would also like to thank Christine, Jan and Vicky (I hope I got their names right), the definition of service with a smile, very attentive throughout the night and never let our glasses go empty. 10/10

   There are reasons and characteristics that make this the go-to place for culinary delights.Mr Chan's restaurant succeeds in creating an ambience and atmosphere that is both warm and welcoming to his guests. Wonderful and professional male and female waiters and waitresses, whom were engaging, attentive and courteous giving excellent efficient service with a smile. Lovely host Charlie whom is so engaging he makes everyone feel welcome. And of course the food.. Fantasticly cooked by the chefs and wonderfully presented. Thank you so much. Friends made.

   What a gem, we'll be back! The food was awesome, great flavours and quality. Very fresh and well presented and hot. They adjusted for our spicy requirements. The spring rolls were much bigger then you might expect, full of fresh veg and chicken. They have a great bar with everything you could want. Reasonably priced meal. We went early so only a handful of tables. Can't wait for next family event to book!

   It is extraordinary and the best restaurant in this area. Despite the fact that for 2 years in England we were disappointed in restaurants, but we really liked this restaurant. A pleasant atmosphere, excellent service staff, an incredible owner who personally approaches each table and cares about the fact that everyone was comfortable and tasty. We travel often and have enough experience to give this establishment the highest rating. I recommend this cozy restaurant for a pleasant time spent with family and friends. I wish the owners, despite their no longer young age, good health, generous guests and further development in this difficult business of running a restaurant business.

   Wonderful restaurant selling Chinese food. The room is well set out and spacious. The service was excellent and everyone so friendly especially Charlie who spent some time chatting with us. The food was really delicious. It’s worth going to St Helens to eat here. Well done Mr Chan.

   A trip out with the in-laws, to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was my first time at Mr. Chan's restaurant, but my wife (a native of St.Helens) has been many times before, and recommended it. Her good review was upheld. From the moment we walked through the door, and were warmly welcomed, to the point of our departure, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. The service was quick, but without feeling like you were being rushed. The staff dropped by regularly, to ensure we were all happy, or to ask if there was anything we needed. And the food was absolutely delicious! I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good Chinese food.

   We bloody love it here. Best Chinese restaurant in all of Merseyside. Loads of options for vegetarians. Veggie spring rolls and the salt and pepper tofu is amazing (that’s what’s in the pictures). Plenty for meat lovers too incredible chicken stir fry dishes. You get the 5 star customer service here too the staff are so friendly and helpful. It’s really cheap as well. I love it that much anyone who comes to visit this is where we take them and everyone has loved it.

   I've been to Mr Chans twice in the last 3 months, and I've never been disappointed. The staff are great, the food is amazing and the service is second to none. Whilst there, the owner introduced himself to us and all his other customers. I thought this was a nice touch. Would 100% recommend this restaurant

   Took my daughter here for a meal this evening. Food was excellent and great value too. A wide choice on the menu, my daughter had the salt and pepper chicken which was great and had a real kick. Attentive and swift service. Will definitely return
