Over priced. Food was okay, but not presented as beautifully as other Thai places. My prawns and veg were over cooked and warm. The dish tasted so overwhelmingly of chilli I didn't get any of the other flavours mentioned. my rice felt old and was warm. The starters seemed to be straight from a frozen pack. The corn fritters, were mushy.

Ordered via uber eats and received the worst quality of chicken I have ever seen in a take away, possibly mistaken as an order for duck. Tough hard fatty meat not fit for human consumption. Very disappointing having used this restaurant for 15 years.

Fantastic restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and it really added to the overall experience. The food was absolutely amazing β full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully prepared. A standout dish for me was the Pad Khing; the balance of ginger, spices, and freshness made it unforgettable. Every bite was delicious, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. I would happily recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be returning soon.

TERRIBLE! Ordered via uber eats. Tofu & veg dish had no TOFU whatsoever! Papaya Salad no papaya at all (substituted with cabbage which is much cheaper - bait and switch)! Chicken dishes inedible as it could not even be chewed! Β£50 wasted and all thrown in the bin! Avoid!

βOur time at Tamarind Thai Cafe was absolutely wonderful! This place truly has the warmth of a family-run business; I genuinely love boutique spots with wooden tables like this, as you can feel the owners doing what they love, and that passion really shines through in the food. The dishes were prepared authentically, sticking to traditional Thai recipes, and every single one was incredibly delicious. I especially enjoyed the Prawn Sweet and Sour Rice I ordered β it was magnificent and left a lasting impression! The local Chang beer that accompanied it was also a perfect match. I wholeheartedly recommend Tamarind Thai Cafe to anyone looking for truly delicious and authentic Thai cuisine. It's definitely a place I'll be revisiting!β

Don't book this restaurant expecting a large posh dining room because it's casual dress but I would recommend that you do book, it's a small popular place. The food is excellent, plentiful and if you want it spicier then just ask. The staff are polite and friendly. The only down side is that it was cold in there but once you start eating you forget how cold it is. All in all though I highly recommend this place.

We have been here many times and always enjoyed the food and service. This evening it was a total different experience. First of all when we arrived the place was freezing. Many of the diners were eating with their coats on. We ordered the mixed platter for 2. When it arrived there were no dim sum included and instead corn cakes. When we asked they said they have changed it to corn cakes but it has not been changed in the menu. They did in the end bring us some dim sum after we asked for them twice and took away the corn cakes we said we would not pay extra. The spicy salad was very poor. Not in a lettuce casing, no crushed peanuts and rather than finely chopped carrots and cabbage there were large chunks. It didnβt taste very nice either. We asked if the heating was broken as it was so cold. The waiter felt a radiator said it was on and walked away. We ate the remainder of the meal with our coats on. The service was poor with empty glasses and cans being left on the table and staff banging crockery and cutlery on the table like they really didnβt want to be there. When paying the bill I was told the amount after the waitress worked it out on a calculator. Only giving me an itemised bill when I asked for it. I refused to pay the discretionary service charge as there was no service. All in all an experience that I do not wish to go through again. With the cost of eating out being so high there are certain standards that should be met. Unfortunately this place doesnβt and we will not be going back or getting a take away again.

This place used to be good, I specifically asked for extra sauce on the curry they literally diluted them with water and oil, and the curryβs were bland, the rice was burnt and mixed up. This place is a hit and miss. Very disappointed with the food overall. The lady who runs this place is always too busy not looking into what the customer is asking for or listening to what they want.

Quite a small an intimate restaurant in Rickmansworth run by a very friendly, if slightly eccentric owner! The mixed starters for two were nice, except the prawn tempura which were more batter than prawn and a bit greasy, the extra dish of Khanom Jees were delicious. The Phad King main course was very tasty and the chicken fried rice portion was huge! All in all a great place to go for tasty authentic Thai food reasonably priced.

Excellent food! Good service. Make sure to book in advance as they are busy most days. Been several times and food quality of the food is always consistent. Staff are friendly. Never have to wait too long to be served. They have a good selection of wines too. Highly recommend!
