Had christmas lunch, yesterday. It was the worst i've tasted, gravy very, very salty, stuffing raw, turkey was pressed meat. Smallest slice of christmas pudding that tasted of stale christmas cake with a spoonful of custard, minute mince pie, pasty was undercooked. Coffee too strong to drink.

Stayed here for one night. From the outside looks really good you walk into reception and all looks really good. Then the reality kicks in when you enter your room . so out dated it like going back to the 90s in need of a good overall refurb In our room you had to Hold the bath tap To stop it turning around The toilet lid fell of when we opened the toilet Pillows where as flat could be Had to put bath towels under them so I could sleep Sorry to Say we wont be staying there again

You park up and you think this going to be a nice hotel.. you get to reception and you still think this is going to be a nice hotel and then you get into your room and just WOW it's like you've gone through a porthole back to the 90s everything is outdated and god forbid you sit down to hard on the bed your arse hits the bed board and on the way up you get to feel all the springs, the pillows are lumpy like they've been washed god knows how many times. Decent size bath in the bathroom but the extractor fan must be running on the same DB as a light wing aircraft, there wont be no chilled bath for you my good sir/madam. As a last resort it will do for a night but I certainly wouldn't go out my way to book there again.

Absolutely brilliant stay for my birthday, staff were so attentive and made me feel fabulous. Food was great and the drinks flowed. Decorated table, card, birthday pudding, fizz and a framed pic as memento. Special shout out to Mike but all staff were great.

Did the "all inclusive" deal for two nights and it was brill! Lovely hotel and the staff were absolutely fantastic! Big shout out to David, Maria, Jayne, Michelle, Jim and Emma who all went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and even made a big fuss of my wife, who has been ill but it was her birthday. They put Happy Birthday banners up next to our table and gave her a card and a present. Fantastic! Thank you so much! Xxx

Been here for a business trip and loved it. But this place need a major revamp and maintenance. The room was of a decent size but was not cleaned, there was hair on the dressing table and spider and mould in the bathroom. The food was very good though and the receptionist was very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is very dated and run down, which you can put up with. What I can't stand is the fact that it was dirty. The carpets on the corridors were covered in fluff and could have generally done with a good hoover. I paid just under 87 pounds for room 126. It was filthy. There was thick dust on the pelmet. Dust and cobwebs on light shades. Dried milk rings on the dresser. The tray with the drinks sachets on was dirty. I cleaned the surfaces myself. The bath, apart from having black mould round the edges, had brown staining? What. I asked reception if they could get someone to clean it and it still wasn't done after 2 hours. I asked again and the receptionist came and cleaned it but it still left some stains. The bathroom floor was dirty and the carpet in the bedroom had dust and crumbs on it. I moved a chair so I could get to plug in the standard lamp and I found a bra on the floor plus a sweet that was stuck to the wire of the lamp and the carpet. There were also crumbs, fluff and dust and nail clippings. The bed base had seen better days. Thankfully the sheets were clean. The one saving grace with this hotel was the restaurant. Food there was great! I know times have been tough for this industry but there is no excuse for it being dirty. On the website it states extra cleaning is in place since covid. This is obviously not true.

The room was warm, the bed was comfy and the staff were wonderful. However. A dirty room where I could literally see the bugs in the carpet and a moldy bathroom left much to be desired. Shame really as we had heard good things.

Great little place, staff excellent very Friendly helpful and super efficient. Our room was clean though a little dark as the lighting didn't seem sufficient. The bed very creaky but comphy. The power shower amazing. Evening meal very tasty as was breakfast. The all inclusive is a great deal at all the Lavender hotels.
