Very welcoming, even though I am from older generation, I still enjoy somewhere just a little different.

Loved the food, loved the drinks. I will not hesitate to return. At times it was a bit difficult to get hold of staff, and at times slightly too cavalier (pushing drinks, a little too forward with up selling, etc). Cider selection is disappointing. Only cider available is dry and imported. We've got lots of fine ciders in the UK, such as Aspall, the many niche microbrewery brands, even something like Magners. Would be good to see something like that on offer.

Poor quality main courses Thai prawn curry very bland. Flat iron steak not bloomed or seasoned. Oysters were very good although salsa verdi was not great. Nice atmosphere and okay service. It's bar next door is excellent though.

Came here early on a Friday night for a meal for 2. The Christmas menu had just came into effect and was superb, we both had the portabello mushroom to start, the slow braised beef with winter veg for mains and I also managed to fit in the warm chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. The service was impeccable and Callum who I think is either the supervisor or manager had an immediate knowledge of kitchen stock when we asked for oysters (we ended up getting 10 of the remaining 12!) The other male server was very friendly, attentive but not to the point of annoyance and made sure we had everything we needed and even anticipated that we might want extra plates and cutlery when sharing the dessert. The only improvements I can think of would be to ensure cutlery arrives before or concurrently with the food. I waited for a couple of minutes salivating in front of my brownie before the spoons arrived. However this didn’t detract from the whole experience. Also, a mobile card machine would be more convenient.

Food was absolutely amazing, with a great variety of vegetarian options for my girlfriend. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that we had a sense of being forgotten, as the waitress didn't come to our table for roughly an hour as we were hoping to leave. Other than that the place was excellent.

Great food albeit quite pricy. Atmosphere was good but serving staff although friendly let things down a bit. Ordering lots of plates increases the chance of missed dishes which happened twice. Recommended nonetheless but but hope it's a slicker operation next time.
