“We’ve been to Chez Jules in Chester to celebrate our 10th anniversary. And what an incredible experience we’ve had there. It was a great surprise, we had delicious food and Ula who was our waitress delivered an impeccable service, she was extremely friendly and kind. “The menu is great. Many options that you won't easily find together somewhere else. We got a Chateaubriand which is served for 2, and it was great as medium cooked. I would prefer it in thinner slices, but this one was also OK. Juicy, soft, and pink inside. We also got sides of Slow-Cooked Beef Shin and Stuffed Bone Marrow. Bone Marrow could be too fatty for some, but for me it was great as is. Beef Shin was a bit sweet, of being caramelized, i guess. I just didn't like that every single thing in the menu is served with some big amount of grilled/fried onion which I think is the signature of the venue. It was with every single thing we ordered - and it's too much of it at the end. With the desserts, they have quite a lot options again. we got creme brule and biscuit torte. Biscuit torte was a bit too sweet but creme brule was amazing. You also have options of ordering mini-desserts with hot drink costing only 6.50 and I liked this opiton. What I ordered was a full size of it and I guess it might be too big for some after eating that much. What I didn't like regarding the venue is the service which makes you wait quite a long time for only asking for your order. It was too much of allowance for us to think :) Also, we have been seated to a table which was dark due to the lamp which wasn't working. I was told that the lamp was broken for some reason whan I asked that to be turned off - because it was just too dark without that working. And I didn't like that the staff had me seated there knowing it wasn't working while we had some other options. We had been seated to somewhere else then. The price is higher than most of the steak houses in the city, but for an understandable reason after having this experience. You can park your cark in the parking area of the court cross the street. Not an effort to complain for walking to the venue from the parking area.”

“Had a great evening. The building is beautiful being situated right on the river, but the internal decor is just fantastic, giving real redneck American vibes. From the moment I arrived all of the staff were great. Really friendly and attentive without being over the top and annoying. I had fajitas which were incredible - genuinely tasty! I finished off with a rum milkshake. Not going to lie, I felt like I was going to have a food coma when I left. Really great evening. Great food and great service. Thank you!”

“Visited near Christmas in an afternoon for lunch. The food was really nice - and a little bit more unusual for what you'd normally expect from a 'tourist attraction' type place! The staff were amazing, we went for my birthday and they gave us several drinks on the house, all specially selected to couple well with each course. “Really nice public house in an historic building within the town walls; they also have their own onsite micro-brewery with four of their ales on tap when we visited all of which were excellent. The staff are friendly and as we piled in as a group of eight they did their best to accommodate us despite us not having a booking (we had been let down by another pub in Chester that accepted our booking but when we arrived they stated that they didn’t have any room for us) , both for tables and food. The food was very well cooked with a good choice including vegan meals. All in all, a very nicely ran pub with pleasant staff, good ales and food; what more can you ask for?”

We enjoy their duck every time. They also have a very tasty onion soup. This place has much wider space than it looks from outside. Proper for big group meetings including company dinners.”

“I would recommend booking before arriving for a Sunday roast as this place was absolutely buzzing! The soup of the day was melt in your mouth delicious and flavoured perfectly! We tried the chicken, pork and beef roasts. They were equally amazing. I preferred the chicken as it came with crispy skin. The pork came with wonderful crackling if that's your bag. You cannot leave here without having pudding. The brownie, cheesecake and toffee pudding were out of this world. The kitchen is on point with timing and the wait staff did them proud despite how busy it was. Lovely, warm, welcoming and worth a visit for sure. You won't regret it!”

I received a call from the manager Cosmos on the same day. He was very receptive to my constructive criticism and promised to address the issues. I was very impressed. Thank you for this. “Visited Prezzo Broughton for dinner around 6 PM with a group of 5, and we had a lovely experience from start to finish! I ordered the Caramel Iced Latte, Chicken Milanese with Spaghetti Pomodoro, and finished off with the Quadruple Chocolate Cookie Dough dessert – everything was absolutely delicious. The Chicken Milanese was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the light, flavorful spaghetti pomodoro. The dessert was rich and indulgent – a must-try for any chocolate lover! The iced latte was also refreshing and just the right balance of sweetness and coffee. A special shoutout and big thanks to Manager Mr. Achintha, who went above and beyond to make sure our table was well looked after. His warm and professional service really stood out and added a personal touch to our evening. Highly recommend this branch for a relaxed and tasty meal. We'll definitely be back!”

Every bite felt indulgent but thoughtfully put together. What really elevated the experience was the service from Lauren Howarth. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making sure everything was just right without being intrusive. Her positive attitude and professionalism added a lot to the overall meal and made the visit even more enjoyable. “We visited this lovely country pub and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The waitress (Beth) looking after us was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her, which really made the visit feel special. We tried the fried Brie to start, which was delicious and full of flavour. Others tried the Patè which only had a small improvement we’d suggest which is serving it with a little more bread, but it certainly didn’t take away from how enjoyable it was. Despite our group ordering six roast dinners, all with different meats, the food arrived in good time. The portions were generous, everything was piping hot, and the flavours were spot on. The standout dish for us was the cauliflower cheese—honestly the best we’ve ever had! Desserts were lovely too. The cheesecake tasted great, though the base was slightly harder than we prefer. The brownies, however, were a huge hit and disappeared quickly! The pub itself was very clean and welcoming, and the easy, convenient parking made the visit even smoother. Overall, a fantastic meal with great service. We’ll definitely be returning!”

I was seated at 11.45am and the restaurant was really starting to fill up by 12.15pm so I would recommend booking in advance if possible. The caramel, chocolate and crumble tart shown was heavenly!”

“A nice place for a family treat. Good selection of sweet as well as savoury pancakes. Staff are attentive and helpful. The woman who served us was happy and chirpy. The cafe is clean and bright. You can see the pancakes being made, right behind the counter, so you can have confidence in the cooking. I sampled a savoury pancake with cream cheese and smoked salmon, which came with a generous side of rocket. My son had a sweet pancake with Nutella, whipped cream, banana and chocolate sauce. We both enjoyed our food and couldn’t fault it.”

“We rented their apartment unit with my parents to visit family in the Chester area. We stayed for 5 days. It was the best decision we ever made. The staff was courteous, the location is more than ideal. There are many shops in the area to get snacks or take-out. We never cooked, except for breakfast, but there is a fully loaded kitchen. It was clean and stylish, and close to everything. About a 5 min cab ride to the train station, and a five minute walk to major shopping and historical sites. They made cots available to us, and helped us with directions, or trouble shooting with the washing machine (included in the laundry room). Very reasonably priced, we found, as well. Would recommend to anyone, our relatives will be doing the same, hope to be back to visit another time!”
