   Worth a detour This is a superb family run restaurant. Food is truly excellent- kudos to the chef for quality ingredients, beautifully cooked and presented. Service is exemplary, led by Stavros and Isabel and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. If you are in the Chester area it is worth coming out to Guilden Sutton (it’s a short Uber ride from the centre) and if you happen to live in the village, I am very jealous.

   From the moment we called to make our reservation, the service was exceptional. Stavros was incredibly polite and friendly on the phone, and that same warm attitude continued when we arrived — he greeted us with a smile and guided us to our table with genuine hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the cooking. Combined with the welcoming atmosphere, the whole experience was truly fantastic. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be returning!

   Such a lovely pub/restaurant, staff were lovely and the food was incredible, we had the pork belly bites and a sea bream with mussels. There was a nice atmosphere, although you probably want to book as it is popular.

   Lovely dinner place, nice decor and really nice food. We were warmly greeted by this smart gent who was very forthcoming and chatty with us. The two young ladies were more robotic, but nothing can reduce the effect of the great food served up. Well presented, served to perfection. Wonderful experience

   The food here is beyond delicious and perfectly portioned. Excellent quality meats that just fell from the bone. Stavros was so friendly and helpful, with the gluten free options. In fact all the staff are lovely. The atmosphere is up market but not poncy. This was our second visit and I just can't wait to go back again.

   We came back to the bird in hand for the Valentines set menu, it was hard to choose what to have as all of the options sounded so delicious! We were not disappointed with the food. All our three courses were delicious! The staff are so warm and friendly, the head chef Alex also came to say hello. Such a lovely atmosphere and the most amazing food! We can't wait to go back again! We even finished off with a very nice expresso martini.

   Amazing! We came for Sunday dinner, the bar area was lovely and we were very happy we could bring our dog. Every staff member was very cheerful, friendly and helpful. Food choice was amazing - didn’t know what to pick! I am coeliac (gluten free) and the staff knew exactly what I could have and there was lots and lots of choice for me! The gluten free burger was amazing! Will be back again definitely thank you for a lovely evening.
