I recently visited Sambal in South Harrow, and it was such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely authentic, flavourful, and truly 10/10 Sri Lankan cuisine — every dish reminded me of genuine home-style cooking. A special shout-out to Thamizhkavi and Gowri, who made the visit extra special. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, with such warm personalities that instantly made me and my friends feel at home. Their smiles, friendliness, and genuine care for their customers really stood out. We had a lovely chat, and it felt like catching up with old friends. Excellent food, exceptional service, and a great atmosphere — I’ll definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Sri Lankan food and heartfelt hospitality !!
Best sri lankan/ indian food. I tried devilled tapioca ( am not sure about the name) it was very nice. Very impressed with their tea. Kothuporotta was also very nice. Staffs were very nice and friendly. Loved the place.
I visited Sambal Kitchen in South Harrow with my best friend and had an absolutely wonderful experience! We ordered idiyappam, sweet hopper, and the amazing coconut sambal – everything was so fresh, flavorful, and authentic. A special shoutout to Thamizkavi, our waitress, who was so friendly and attentive. She served everything right on time and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving delicious Sri Lankan food with great service!
Our local friend took us for lunch here. What a delicious meal. Filter coffee at the end was superb as well. Very courteous staff as well.
Lamb Biriyani and string hoppers were really good. “Lamprais” was a total disappointment. It was more like rice and curry wrapped in banana leaf. food prices were reasonable.
The food is nice. Mainly the dosa and fried rice is what I prefer. But once I had an issue. I had to wait more than 30min for my fried rice. I was late for my work and the rice was so dry and not nice. Sometimes you may face some service issues as well as I did. But otherwise, everything else is good.
Wow, wow, wow! How many superlatives can I give this place? Absolutely divine grub at very reasonable prices. The Fish Meal in the photo cost £6.95 and I guarantee would fill anyone up. Highly recommend. I cannot fail to as I'll be back, albeit with high expectations of yummy food and attentive service!
Best Srilankan restaurant in South Harrow. This restaurant never disappoints me. The food is tasty and is served super hot. My favourite dish is flaky parota n chicken curry. Have tried their Rasam, the quantity was enough for 2 people, it was super hot and awesome spicy. Mutton rolls were amazing. Chicken biryani was moist ,with right amount of spices.Dining here doesn't cut a hole in your pocket , so do visit.
