Lovely but overpriced. Setting is obviously wonderful - especially in December. Very festive and gorgeous decorations. Quite loud considering but has a nice buzz about it. Food is very good. We were required to order 2 courses (or 3) the burrata was fantastic and the chicken was delightful. Rather small portions but lovely flavours and quality. Cocktails / drinks were also great. Our only issue was the price. I am no stranger to dining out in London and more than happy to pay a premium for nice location / quality food however, this was extortionate. Made worse by the fact you had to have 2 courses as a minimum which was £70!!! Then drinks on top… for a casual Saturday late lunch, the bill for 3 of us came to around £250 which is absolutely absurd. It’s such a shame, as the venue is lovely and food is great but at that price point I just could not justify coming back. You’re essentially sat in a glorified greenhouse and by no means should you be spending that much for that. Especially with outdoor facilities that you have to walk outside to get to!!? Lovely for a special occasion - but even then you are sat in a greenhouse!? And there are plenty other much more premium venues in central London at a similar price point that would hugely exceed what we experienced at Petersham.

I’d heard great things about Petersham Nurseries Restaurant, but after visiting, I’m not sure I’d rush back. The menu design was the first disappointment, it’s written in a childlike font that makes it hard to read, which seems an odd choice for such a high end place. For food, I started with the beef, which was nice, followed by the stone bass that was absolutely brilliant, no complaints there. Dessert was the chocolate pear cake, which looked lovely but tasted pretty average. The restaurant itself was quite cold they do provide blankets, which is thoughtful, but the heating kept turning on and off, making it a bit uncomfortable and cold. Service was also quite slow, with long delays between courses. Finally, as someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, I was surprised they don’t offer any soft drink options like Diet Coke, Coke, or even Pepsi. It feels like a basic thing that should be available. Overall, the setting is beautiful and parts of the meal were excellent, but a few simple improvements could make the experience much better.

What a lovely and amazing place. The dining rooms are as beautiful as the food. Its however more expensive than a Michelin starred restaurant. £394 for 4 of us. So control the drinking! Loved the litre of sicilian lemonade, reminded me of Glastonbury lemonade carts. My only little gripe, was it was winter, I had a long coat, and the host should have taken our coats as there is only a dirt floor and your coat tails trail in the dust. They eventually came to hang it up in their cloakroom

We had a truly special time at Petersham Nurseries for lunch with friends yesterday. I arrived a bit earlier to enjoy the plants and flowers outside, so pretty! Lots of colourful dahlias! The restaurant has an amazing display of flowers everywhere too, Instagram perfect! The food was super tasty! The pumpkin risotto with gorgonzola & sage was absolutely delicious! The fish outstanding! All dishes were beautifully presented and had authentic flavours. We had a lovely and memorable experience overall! The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was cosy and elegant.

Delightful Greenhouse Dining Experience. Petersham Nurseries is a highly sought-after lunch destination, so ensure you book your table in advance. The restaurant is set within a stunning, spacious greenhouse, offering a unique dining atmosphere. They feature a set menu where you can select your preferred number of courses. What makes their food stand out is the focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, meaning the menu evolves regularly and might differ from what's published online. Every dish we had was delightful and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are decent. For two average appetites, a three-course meal might be a bit much. I'd suggest sharing a starter and dessert, while still enjoying your own main course. You might also find that some main dishes would benefit from an accompanying side. They offer a wide array of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Our experience was significantly enhanced by our server, Dominic, who provided superb service from beginning to end. Keep in mind that Petersham Nurseries is on the pricier side, making it an ideal choice for a special occasion.

Managed to book a last minute sitting for NYE (lunch service) and was not disappointed. All of the food was perfection, loved each dish and the cocktails were good. Large selection of wines, mostly by the bottle though. Beautiful setting, especially when the evening drew in and it got darker. Staff were welcoming and our main server (Vivienne) was charming and warm, some of the male staff who brought our dishes less so but not because they were rude just put the dishes down and left without saying anything. It's great food and worth the price in my opinion, wide selection on the menu. Great for a little treat or a special occasion.

I wanted to love this restaurant and if it was down to the ambience this would be a five star but for £90 per person I expected the food to be out of this world and it wasn’t. On top of this you will also need to factor the cost for sides because for that price it’s not included! We have been to other high end restaurants in London and were looking for something more local, I am not sure we will be back. The food was good but not outstanding (for the price), the ambience is lovely so unique being in a greenhouse and the staff we really attentive.

Came here over jubilee weekend. Fantastic setting, sat in a giant conservatory surrounded by magnificent plant life. Food was a set menu for £90 including a free drink which was actually pretty good value for money! Service was warm and attentive. Would definitely return

Beautiful location and very well maintained nursery. The afternoon tea was excellent, we multiple teas, though the best thing was the pastries themselves - and there’s tonnes of them. The scones are to die for and are very filling. Generous portions.

Food: 5/5 Presentation: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 4/5 I’ve been here a handful of times and reserved for lunch. All times I’ve eaten here the delicacy taken in the dishes were exceptional. I truly understand why they’re a Michelin Green restaurant. Definitely a place for a special occasion to enjoy a three course meal. I’ll definitely come back again.
