I recently visited Chatora Restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to learn it’s now under new management. The change is definitely for the better! The food was exceptional rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. I tried a few different options from the menu, and each dish was delicious in its own way. Highly recommended if you're looking for great food and an upgraded dining experience.

Delicious food but a bot underwhelming for a Michelin star. Mushroom in veg biryani was very chewy. Mutter paneer was decent. Service can be improved

We visited Chatora in Richmond with high expectations, especially since it’s listed as a Michelin-rated restaurant. We opted for the two-course meal with unlimited Prosecco. While the service was attentive - the staff made sure our glasses were never empty - the food was underwhelming. The dishes were just okay - certainly not what you would expect from a place with Michelin recognition. Flavours lacked depth, and presentation was average. Overall, it felt more like a standard restaurant with a good drinks offer rather than a fine dining experience. It’s a shame, because the bottomless Prosecco was well-executed, but the food simply didn’t live up to the hype.

We visited Chatora as a family of four—two adults and two kids—and had a fantastic experience. From the warm welcome to the relaxed, stylish setting, everything made us feel right at home. The food was excellent, and the lamb kebab was the clear standout—tender, flavorful, and beautifully grilled. It came with delicious sides and was a hit with both adults. The kids also enjoyed their meals, which were thoughtfully prepared and perfect for younger diners. Service was friendly and attentive, with staff who were great with the kids and happy to offer recommendations. The atmosphere was ideal for a relaxed family evening—elegant but never stuffy. Special thanks to Sahil, Sabina, Leticia and the team for an outstanding hospitality. We left full and happy, already planning our next visit. Highly recommended for families and anyone who appreciates quality food and warm hospitality!

We came here for dinner via the Fork. Place is close to Richmond station with free parking nearby after 4:30pm. We got the poppadum. We had the pani puri, sheekh kebab and paneer tikka. All were great with a kick to it. For the main we got Lamb saag and chicken curry with naan and rice. The food was quite spicy and flavourful. Bill was around £55 which is reasonable.

For a Michelin 2021 restaurant, we had a very high expectation with the flavours, didn't quite deliver onto it, tbh. Having been to many similar tasting restaurants and therefore nothing home to write about given the premium prices. Desserts are good, though!

Chatora lived up to the expectations in terms of reservation confirmation, welcoming and quality of the food served. It was a ladies night and was perfect to indulge into a very authentic Indian fusion cuisine served at Chatora on a chilly night we have been. I tried many fine dinning Indian restaurants but this is a show stopper when it comes to homemade sauces for popoddum dips, and varieties they have to choose. I would highly recommend and will visit soon again!

One of the best restaurants around london. Amazing ambience and the service was top notch. The food was authentic and freshly made. There is a bit of wait when you place the order but its only due to each order is made freshly and cooked to the perfection. I recommend to book the table in advance. Lamb shank is a must try its just melts in your mouth and i would rate it top in whole UK, the biryani is one of the best cooked in traditional way. All the dishes are flawless. Gold star for food and service. 10/10.

Excellent authentic Indian cuisine - not Anglo-Indian as served by too many restaurants. Great range of dishes, beautifully prepared, cooked and presented. Wine list is top class.
