   Very friendly place with good food and reasonable prices. We arrived relatively late, there was only one other table dining. The service was fast and friendly. The garlic naan was delicious. We ordered both a butter chicken and a chicken tikka masala. They had a very interesting spice mix, slightly different from others I’ve eaten, but worth it.

   A fantastic experience at Taj Mahal in Richmond! The Karahi Lamb was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor. The ambience is beautiful and vibrant, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable meal - I went with my wife for Valentine’s Day and it did not disappoint. The service provided by the colleague was excellent, making our dining experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommended to visit when you’re in Richmond.

   We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. We receive an awful service from a very rude waiter. We arrive very early for dinner and the restaurant was completely empty. We noticed the dishes and seats were not that clean and too worn out. The waiter got impatient very quickly when we wanted to know the dishes better before ordering. He said that all king prawns in all the curry dishes were cut in small pieces. We found that already weird and unusual. Nevertheless after some difficulties with his bad will and bad communication skills we discover one single dish that had the king prawns as a whole but nothing else! We had to add another dish so as to have rice and/or vegetables. We have a long experience with Indian restaurants and had never seen a menu weird like that, and such a rude waiter. When I tried to request an option of a vegetable dish that wouldn’t come with potatoes that became another big issue for the waiter. He said the cook didn’t have time to look into our small and minimum requests! That was the last straw and we decided to leave the restaurant telling him how impolite and arrogant he was.
