Popped in after work for an easy mid-week dinner out. Meal was delicious, authentic flavours and service was fabulous. They rustled up fresh chapatis that weren't on the menu and the prawn tawa starter (not sure of spelling) was the best prawn starter I've had in a long time.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. After receiving food that tasted nothing like authentic Indian food, I called to express my concern. Instead of listening or offering any form of customer service, the woman who answered responded with an incredibly rude and offensive remark: “If you want to eat Indian food, go back to India and eat Indian food”. This level of disrespect is unacceptable. No customer should ever be spoken to this way, especially when giving feedback. The food was already far below expectations, but the attitude and unprofessionalism shown during the call made the situation even worse.

We had a family dinner there the other day and everything we ordered was from great to delicious. Also, the staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive which is great. On the minus side, there's a service charge added to each bill and the premise's toilets are absolutely not fit for purpose. They are filthy, in a state of disrepair and in need of modernisation. There are some parking spaces outside that are free to park after 6:30pm.

The one visit to this unique Indian restaurant in Borehamwood that can change how you feel about this town’s oddly shaped roundabouts and roads which look less by design and shaped like an artist’s squiggle with a pen! The food was nice and so was our host and the experience in this tapestry painting wrapped restaurant is one of peace and quiet. Loved it and if I am back in borehamwood I will be coming here for sure.

Our dining experience at the Spice Garden in Borehamwood was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, adorned with beautiful string lights that added a cozy yet vibrant feel to the atmosphere. The attention to detail in decor and table setting really set the stage for a memorable meal. The food was the true star of the evening. We were served a variety of dishes, all of which were bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly spiced to showcase traditional Indian cuisine. The mixed grill platter, with its tender and flavorful meats, was a highlight. Each piece was cooked to perfection, bringing out a smoky richness that paired wonderfully with the accompanying sauces and fresh, zesty salads. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Our server was attentive and friendly, offering great recommendations and ensuring our glasses were never empty. The chef even took the time to come over to our table to check on us, which added a personal touch to our experience. Overall, Spice Garden is a gem in Borehamwood. The combination of outstanding food, charming ambiance, and stellar service makes it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors. We left thoroughly satisfied and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for food lovers looking for a top-notch dining experience! Kamal our amazing host and Chef Sandeep is incredibly talented chef highly recommend.

Found this place by searching on Google reviews as we were staying at the Manor in Elstree to attend a wedding at the Hive. Must say it is genuinely a good place to eat authentic Indian food. Freshly made, piping hot with excellent & polite customer service. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely recommend this little gem.

I went there today with my friends, and overall it was an amazing experience with very polite customer service. The food was made to a very high quality and was prepared within a short amount of time. I would really recommend going to this restaurant with family and friends as the menu has a wide range of meat and veg dishes all to a good standard and not on the expensive side. 10/10 experience
