This was my first time eating Korean food or Korean BBQ food. I was attracted by the all-you-can-eat buffet. However, I foolishly had a large breakfast. I should have skipped breakfast to take full advantage. However, the place is very authentic as all the staff and customers are Korean, and it's in the New Malden High Street, Korea Town. So you assume it must be good, authentic Korean food based on location alone. I wouldn't know, as it's my first experience. However, I really liked the food, the prices seemed very reasonable, and it is very clean with great service and very friendly and helpful staff. Location is good with a 2-hour free Waitrose car park a 5-minute walk away. Overall, very happy. I just wish I had skipped breakfast so that I could make a real pig of myself

The meal was inconsistent. The sashimi was fresh, the fried chicken crisp and juicy, and the beef short rib soup packed comforting heat those three dishes alone were solid and enjoyable.Unfortunately, the pork rice and kimchi fried rice were completely off. Both tasted strongly βwrongβ (possibly spoiled), and we had to leave most of them untouched. When we mentioned it, the staff showed little interestβno explanation, no apology, and no offer to replace or remove the items from the bill.Verdict: There are clearly some strong dishes here, but the quality control issues and indifferent service drag the experience down. Worth a visit if you stick to the proven winners (sashimi, fried chicken, spicy soup) and youβre nearby but I wouldnβt go out of my way, and Iβd be cautious ordering rice dishes.

Iβve been coming to this Korean restaurant in New Malden regularly, and it never disappoints! The food is consistently delicious and full of authentic flavor. My absolute favourites are the spicy pork bowl and the fried chicken both are perfectly seasoned, generous in portion, and always cooked just right. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the service is quick even when the place is busy. If you love Korean food (or even if youβre trying it for the first time), this place is a must visit. Easily one of the best restaurants in New Malden!

Our favourite Korean restaurant in all of London!β€οΈ Food is always good, portion is great, if you go during lunch time on weekdays you can get discounts (double check this to make sure). Love their mustard and spring onion fried chicken.

I visited this Korean restaurant and found the traditional dishes quite nice, offering an authentic taste. However, the BBQ could use some improvement as the meat was not well-marinated, and the flavors felt a bit plain. The seafood pancake was also a little disappointing, with too much flour and not enough seafood. The staff were generally helpful and polite, but not very attentive, so service could be improved. Overall, itβs a decent spot for some traditional Korean flavors, but thereβs still room for improvement, especially with the BBQ and attention to detail.

It was my first time in Yami and I was really looking forward to trying their bossam. However, it came in huge chunks and with no tools to cut it. I've never seen bossam being served in this manner before. The kimchi and side dishes were good but the bossam had too much fat and far too thick, even after we cut it ourselves, making it difficult to eat. We also got the jaeuk bokkum (spicy fried pork), seafood pancakes, and tofu soup. Out of the five dishes we ordered, the seafood pancakes and chicken were good and would recommend. The tofu soup also had good flavour but the texture of the tofu was odd. It was supposed to be soft but was kind of chewy and off putting. The flavour of the jaeuk bokkum was also good but the texture of the pork let it down and maybe could have been better with longer time on the pan. Overall, the flavours of everything was good and had potential to be better. But the meal definitely wasn't worth the price we paid. They were very busy as it was a Sunday so maybe they were rushed for time that day. I think the menu size is too large for the number of staff at the time we visited.

Food here is excellent, wide variety of Korean food. Service here can be a little confusing for passerby or the uninitiated. Portion here are very generous and well worth the money. Be prepared to smell of meat after due to BBQ. Extra points for free sides.

Food was a bit of hit and miss. Sashimi, fried chicken, and spicy seafood soup was good. But the pork rice and kimchi fried rice was I think spoilt or tasted so bad we had to drop it without eating much. The service was quite poor they didnβt bother to explain or appreciate. Anyway given the food was good and a place you can visit for a decent food.
