Update!!! It's even worse than it was!!! £12 now.one piece of chicken, one prawn. Lots of green pepers and cabidge. Some light red, tasteless liquid instead of ketchup!!! Getting more and more expensive and portions are much smaller now( click on full photo to see how small it is now)Sometimes taste better, sometimes not really. It used to be delicious, one of my favourite Chinese food The place is a bit dirty

Unexpected find in this area! It'a part greasy spoon cafe and part Chinese restaurant. I tried the beef ho fun and Singapore rice noodles and both were great, very fresh and full of 'wok hei' flavour. Look forward to going back and trying some of the Malaysian and Thai dishes which were also recommended.

This is where the Highway Cafe really shines. Highway Cafe & Chinese Food (New Malden, KT3 4LU) Strengths: Delicious food, great value, and friendly service. Weaknesses: Décor is basic, but that’s part of its charm. Great little spot in New Malden! The food is fresh, tasty, and portions are generous — especially the sweet & sour chicken and Singapore noodles. They also do a solid English breakfast if you’re in early. Since everything is cooked to order, you might have to wait a bit during busy times, but it’s worth it. Staff are super friendly, service is welcoming, and prices are very reasonable. A real hidden gem! The Hong Kong–style Sweet & Sour Chicken is crispy, tangy, and a favorite among regulars. The Singapore Rice Noodles are flavorful but not greasy, making them easy to enjoy any time of day. They also serve omelettes and a proper Full English Breakfast, perfect for early mornings. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the food quality consistently gets high praise.
