Order take away from deliveroo, presentation was nice , I ordered butter chicken , plain rice, garlic naan and papadam basket. Butter chicken was ok , but that rice was perhaps the worst rice I had in my life, smelly uncooked paper tasting with zero aroma, how can you server this ? Naan bread was ok but the highlight of the meal was their green chutney , its was awesome, very refreshing and with in point flavours . Butter chicken: 7/10 Rice : 0/10 Garlic naan: 5/10 Papadam basket: 7/10 Price : there was a meal for one offer in deliveroo for £21 so I got all these as part of the meal for 1

We had a lovely dinner here after a friend's recommendation. Service from Jerry, Sam and Keitan was superb, from making recommendations, to having a chat about India, specifically Goa. We all loved the coriander chutney. I'd come back for that alone. I liked the Amritsari fish, and tried my friend's keema, lovely with the brioche buns. My lamb shank madras was melt in the mouth with a nicely building heat, best madras I've had in any restaurant. The laccha parathas were perfect with it. We enjoyed Happy Hour thanks to Vishal behind the bar: the lLychee Martini was lovely and refreshing, Pornstar Martinis were deliciously sweet to end the meal. My friends enjoyed the Maharajah's Picante. Too full for dessert but will come back for gulab jamun or chocolate samosa another time. We also had a nice chat with the owner Sahil. Will definitely.be back and happy to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This was a family outing and our first visit to Chook Chook. Jerry, our waiter helped make an already special evening even more special. Food was exceptional. Decor unique and delightful. I highly recommend the prawns starter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in Richmond! Chook Chook is an absolute hidden gem tucked away in Richmond that deserves far more attention than it gets. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends – the staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure you have a great experience. The owner personally checked in with us during our meal, which made it feel even more special and showed how much they care about every guest. The food is simply fantastic – authentic, fresh, and bursting with flavour. One thing I really appreciated was that I was able to customise the dishes exactly to my liking, both in spice level and accompaniments, and nothing was too much trouble. The portions were generous as well, so you really feel you’re getting amazing value for money. From the rich, perfectly balanced curries to the soft, fluffy naan and flavour-packed starters, every bite was a delight. The location is brilliant too – just off the main high street in Richmond, easy to get to and with plenty of parking nearby, which is such a bonus in this area. The restaurant has a cosy, welcoming vibe with a stylish yet traditional décor that’s ideal for date nights, family dinners, or just a relaxed evening out. It’s no wonder Chook Chook boasts a Google rating over 4.5 stars from hundreds of happy diners. People consistently praise the friendly service, generous portions, excellent value, and top-quality food – and I can now see why. If you’re in or around Richmond and love Indian food, you absolutely must try Chook Chook. A true hidden gem with amazing food, lovely staff and owner, generous portions, and a convenient location. Highly recommended!

The unpretentious exterior of this little restaurant hides something very special. Interior décor is clean, quiet, tasteful and imaginative. We had booked a table for lunch time, ordering a shared starter, four different curries and desserts. Tableware was copper dishes and cutlery - beautifully presented on polished stone table surface - and the food itself was delicious. We shared an array of dishes; Lamb Madras, Buttered Chicken, Curried Okra and Chicken Tikka, each dish distinctively different. The meal was accompanied by different Lassis (pineapple and coconut - highly recommended), and the desserts very good. The service was professional and polite - always there at the right time. Not too expensive - about £20 per person. One of the best Indian meals I've ever had. Definitely a keeper.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've tried! The lamb shank melted off the bone, the railroad chicken curry was exquisite, the naan was a delight and everything was seasoned to perfection. Wide range of starters, from prawns to puri. We didn't even get to try everything we wanted to due to being so satisfied from the meals we did order. Will definitely be back again

One of the best indian meals i had outside of india, without the pretentiousness of posh london restaurants. Very attentive service. Get ready to be knocked by flavours / don’t miss the vegetarian platter starter, amazing flavours as well for the byriannis and cheese naan with coriander

Amazing dinner, from the food to the service! Chilli paneer and samosas were lovely, our mains were incredible and the naan was the best I’ve ever had. Desserts were also delicious so all round, it was a 10/10 meal.
