Very friendly and nice service and they added some extra onion bajies for free. Always a nice place to go when you want a curry.
I don't know what's happened to the holdi these days. lt was by far the best Indian around when it opened. Never a bad meal. But nowadays the food has become very hit and miss. The food was poor tonight and its not the first time. I Ordered from here three weeks ago and it was nice. I can only assume that it depends which chef cooks it. Unfortunately I don't think i willing to take that chance anymore given that a take away is a treat for me these days not a regular thing. Feeling very disappointed. ☹️
We go to Holdi restaurant all the time and it is one of the best Indians we’ve ever had, the food is delicious. so we had high hopes for the take away. We couldn’t have been more disappointed, everything we ordered was such poor quality. The meat was dry, even the meat cooked in a sauce. The sauces were bland. The rice and naan were ok. The staff were polite, but unfortunately we don’t think we’ll be reordering from the take away.
Ordered online for pick up. All the food was tasty, good quality and plentiful. Plenty of meat in the dishes and all very tasty. Only problem was that we had too much food to eat in one session. We've never had a bad meal from here so give it a try you won't regret it
Very disappointing. Ordered over the phone for collection. When arrived to pick up they couldn't find our order. Eventually found it but had put wrong name on. Got it home to find no salad or dips which we ordered. Went back again and given a tiny bag of salad with half slice of cucumber, tiny piece of lemon (poor). Starters & mains were poor in flavour. Naan bread was burnt and inedible. Waste of money
Worst Indian in ellesmere port. I placed a order for delivery. Most simple order of chicken tikka massala chips and a nann bread came delivered 40 mins later cold missing chips.. I called them and got abuse saying the call broke up couldn't understand the order. I asked why they didn't call bk? Got abuse told that my order was cooked to order so I said how because you didn't get my order right over the phone in the 1st place. The place is a joke and don't like criticism stay clear staff are very rude I asked for his name he wouldn't give me it stay clear
Ordered 3 X 2 person set meals on Christmas Eve. Excellent value for money. Cooked really well and everything ordered were in the bags.
Ordered from here for years but the last few times everything just tastes the same! No matter what we ordered. Everything has either a bag of sugar in it or a bag of salt just no proper authentic flavours whatsoever, actually inedible. Will not be coming back again. Yuck!!
I've ordered most things off the menu from Holdi and I have never had any issues until now. Recently, they’ve gone downhill and FAST!! Late orders, unfriendly staff, cold food that’s been squashed into a bag… and to top it all off a big bone in my latest meal! I was once a loyal customer but won’t be back again!!
