   We had absolutely lovely meals and everything was cooked beautifully. Queue was managed well especially for Sunday! However upon getting home and checking the receipt we have all been charged for large roasts and we all had standard size. I feel like our roasts should have been added to the bill at the point of drink ordering to ensure accuracy.

   We visited here late on a Saturday night after 8pm. Although it was late, nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I were still offered the same level of service as if we had just walked in at opening time. The lady who took our order was wonderful and very patient with us. Usually at that time of night staff are ready to leave and rushing you out of the door, but not here. We felt very welcomed by all staff who were extremely helpful and polite. For our meal we chose the carvery, which had multiple selections of meat. They had pork, gammon, turkey, beef and lamb with plenty of vegetables to choose from as well as gravy and accompanying sauces. The food was lovely, we both really enjoyed our evening meal. We even found room for dessert as they sounded too delicious not to try. I had the lemon blizzard sundae whilst my husband tried the honeycomb dream sundae. The desserts were even more amazing! The lemon blizzard had dairy ice cream with meringue pieces, cream and Sicilian lemon sauce, which I absolutely loved. We had a wonderful night, thanks to everyone working here, excellent customer service goes a long way in making the experience exceptional.

   What a great experience we had here tonight! For a busy venue it did not fail on its service or its food, we visited at around 7/8pm on a Sunday and was politely greeted at the door. We was taken to our table and told how to order etc. the lovely Steph then came over to our table and was so genuinely happy and polite to serve us, even after a busy day (from working in the industry for many years and especially in a carvery on a Sunday is not always fun!) but she didnt let this effect her and was managing all her tables quickly and efficiently! The food was spot on and will be visiting more often… Thanks again to Steph (and the chefs) for making our tea a good one.

   Lovely friendly staff. My partner & I turned up without a reservation. A table was identified and we were seated within moments. Drinks orders taken very promptly and directions to the carvery area given. The food was very nice. Service was good. Atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed.

   Turned up on a Sunday evening without booking. Expected to be turned away as it was full. Only 2 of us at 6.30 was immediately shown to a table and was asked for a drink order. Fantastic service thankyou. My wife and I both had the Roast Carvery . We didn't go large. Good job because the meat portions were excellent. Pork, Ham, Turkey, Lamb. No Beef but we had been advised of this when we arrived. Plenty of vegetables and potatoes. Lashings of gravy. All in all a enjoyable meal and drink Thanks to everyone at Formby Toby.

   We were a party of 12 and thoroughly enjoyed our eating experience here. Food was excellent with a good menu if you don't want roast. Our table server was very pleasant with nothing phasing her.

   All the meats were excellent but unfortunately the roast potatoes were a bit cold. The handles on the ladles and serving spoons were extremely hot. The vegetables were fine. Service was good and staff were very friendly and engaging.

   Great place for a proper Sunday roast..the food was fresh and very tasty. Real roast potatoes not the frozen type. Less than £50 for 4 x roast dinners (2 of which were kids) and 4 drinks.. Kids we were welcomed as very family oriented and we were asked about dietary requirements when we were seated. Staff were lovely and it's a good lively atmosphere. We will definitely visit again
