   Went today for my Christmas dinner, the staff were absolutely amazing and the manager was very accommodating for the needs of my family, the food service was excellent and the food was delicious. Would very much recommended and will be returning very soon.

   So disappointed .ordered steak medium . Seved over done black and dry. Sent it back .was quite insulted to receive same piece just scaped. So dry it was impossible to eat. . After years of eating with pleasure at the pinewoods won't be going again . I have been told that the food including a favourite fish and chips are not as good as they used to be.

   Waited an hour for mediocre fish n chips. I felt sorry for the bar staff who were absorbing the full force of the complaints from other diners. Some of the sauces were past their sell by date. Won't be back. Too many good eateries in Formby

   Called in your establishment on Sunday with my friend, and was pleased it was dog friendly. We had a drink and a meal while in there. The food was excellent, service also excellent. Not local to area, but felt very welcoming. We will definitely come back again. Many thanks.

   First visit to this pub. Sad to say that although we arrived at 1:10 pm, the day’s special of roast lamb was finished, despite adverts for this choice. Roasts are served 12 - 8. But second choice was excellent - roast pork with everything I would want. Tasty and hot with good portion size. Had sticky toffee rum flavoured pudding with ice cream and a cappuccino. Bill was very reasonable and service was polite friendly and quick. Glitch on in-house app, in that payment was taken but the order did not reach the kitchen, despite receiving confirmatory E-mail. However, food was good, as was ambience, so will return soon.

   13 of us in the party on 27th December. Food was first class; all served together, piping hot and delicious. For all that we had it was reasonably priced. All of the staff were helpful and friendly yet professional. Highly recommend a visit.
