DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Went here for lunch after seeing it online and was craving something different. Bintang did not disappoint! Larry, who was serving us, was outstanding. He was accommodating and personable. Made it a really welcoming and pleasant experience. The place is pretty small but I didn't need to book thankfully. Would probably recommend doing so in future. We ordered the prawns as a starter and then followed up with the Tapa steak and the Shakshuka. Prawns were so thick and juicy, with a great crisp batter. Would definitely recommend! The steak was fantastic with a nice sticky and sweet sauce, whilst the lamb Shakshuka was super rich and delicious because of the lamb and it's fattiness. Probably a bit too heavy for lunch but was a good option. Only minor problem I had was getting a green tea where I half expected a pot of tea for £3 and instead got a small cup and a teabag...

I really need to stop listening to instagrammers who recommend restaurants with their fake reviews. Someone said this is the best restaurant they've been to. This has to be the worst restaurant i've been to in a while. The food was disgusting. I haven't been to a restaurant in a long time where i haven't enjoyed any of my meals. The Bintang noodles were disgusting drenched in peanut sauce, both myself and my partner didn't eat them. I took one bite and ate no more. Charged at £17 for a small plate. The waiter asked if I wanted a takeaway box, I said no without hesitation. The spring rolls were very potent and had pate like meat and the sticky lamb ribs were in some sickly thick sauce. I emailed them no reply, instagram messaged them no reply. I wanted a REFUND!!! it was so bad but didn't want to make a scene in the restaurant as it's a tiny box. Hey as a consolation my partner said his cocktail was very good. However it's a NO from me, I will NEVER go here again and I recommend anyone else to take their money somewhere else as this restaurant is highly expensive and offers a very poor experience!!!

The place was a bit tiny and compact. The service was great, the waiters where really lovely and accommodating. However the food itself was a bit meh.. I'm not sure what the hype is all about. We got the Bintang noodles, egg fried rice and the Filipino Lamb Rendang curry. The noodles where just covered in this peanut sauce, nothing mind-blowing. The egg fried rice had no seasoning whilst the curry was ok, the lamb was really tender but that's about it. The item menus under 'small plates' are all fried in the same oil so if you're vegan/vegetarian just be aware that those items like Tofu which appear to be safe, it's actually fried in the same oil as their meat menu. They seem to be open about their cross contamination when I flagged my allergies to them. Would I go back again? Probably not

This is a place I would easily recommend. The food was really good and interesting. My Filipino friend said that the tastes are original so I trust him. Regardless I enjoyed the food a lot. The place is cozy/small so make sure you book in advance. The garden needs a little bit more work to stand out but the staff is always offering to move you if there is space. Portions were good, prices were towards the higher end. Top dishes for me -> Dirty fried rice -> Oak Smoked Chicken Inasal Well done guys I hope you keep the same quality!

Incredible food and great service! Every dish here is absolutely delicious and I can’t believe this place isn’t more busy. Definitely try the hot honey prawns, slider, and lamb curry. One of my favourite restaurants now, will definitely be back! Such good value.

It was a really busy day around Camden, so we were strolling around Kentish Town looking for a quieter place to eat, and we bumped into this place, that I had saved on my want to go list for a long time. And it didn't disappoint! We had the tofu for starter, and was super super crispy and full of flavour. For main dishes, we shared pad thai, which was quite good. I mean, it's hard to go wrong with pad thai. And then we tried the lamb ribs with banana bbq sauce, and wow! They were outstanding! Meat was crispy but also, inside, was super super tender. The sauce was sweet, different and great. Loved them, I really recommend ordering them if you pass by! Good food, totally recommend this place!

Update: after such a lovely time came back with friends and we decided to BYOB, and for this I have now dropped them a point. The corkage charges are a discrace. £6 per bottle of wine and £3.50 per large bottle of beer. It was almost the total cost of the alcohol we bought. This really needs reviewing Went for an early dinner tonight after a recommendation from a friend. Absolutely loved it, the lamb skewers as a starter were awesome, could have eaten loads more. The mains were great and probably one of the best roti I have has, so flakey. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. I Will definitely be coming back.

Everything we ordered was delicious, bursting with flavour. The staff were really nice and polite, one guy was sweet enough to run after us after we forgot our takeaway bag. Decor is really nice and cosy. Food came fairly quickly too. Can't wait to go back. We tried the adobo wings which were crispy with a tasty glaze. The sliders that came with fried potato salad - i wish there was more. The traditional meat dish we ordered with garlic fried rice which is game changer. Roti canai was so flavoursome and the best one we've had!. We also had a pitcher of guava and lime soda. Needless to say, we couldn't finish it all, we got close though and had to take the leftovers away.

Some delicious Filipino food yesterday in Kentish Town. I’ve been wanting to try here for ages and it didn’t disappoint! For starters I had the Spicy Carabao Fried Wings, the main was the highly reputed Crispy Wok Glazed Banana Lamb Ribs and I had dirty fried rice & a roti on the side. Definitely be back to try some other dishes that looked equally delicious. Great service too.
