Just why this small and friendly restaurant isn’t packed out every night is a mystery!!! Spread the word - it is fantastic!!! We went with friends a week ago to this Mauritian fusion restaurant for the first time and it was like discovering a treasure hidden in plain sight. We were greeted warmly by a very friendly waitress and had our pick of tables as there were only two other tables taken. My wife and I shared a starter of Black Tiger Prawn Fusion which was absolutely fantastic. We then both had a Daube de Poulet for our mains. I cannot begin to describe just how good this was - the chicken was moist, tender and yet still firm and the sauce was amazing. We option to vary the heat level of the spices was good as well. With a couple of glasses of wine the bill came to less than £30/head - an absolute bargain for this quality of food. The menu offers a suitably wide selection that should appeal to all tastes whilst enabling everything to be freshly cooked to order. We looked at other dishes coming out of the kitchen and they all looked very appetising indeed. All I can say is that you should go to this restaurant - it will be something worth while I promise you. And then tell all your friends about it and make sure they go too - they will thank you!!!

We went for a walk as a family through oak hill park and my wife was craving a margarita so we thought we'd stop off at pinch of salt which it very close to the park. We got a selection of small plates and some cocktails. It a nice small restaurant, but we really enjoyed everything we ordered here. The cocktails we're really good, i think the margarita we're our favourite cocktail over the mojito. All the small plates were really good. Our favourite being the prawns each plate were good quality and cooked perfectly We are looking forward to coming back and trying their happy hour and grill night.

My wife book for one evening out. We never been there before. First impression when you walk in the restaurant is not the best. But the food was amazing. Starter calamari was delicious. Also starter barbecue chicken wings were very tasty. My wife had duck. It was very good she said. I had an 8oz steak which was melting in the mouth. The best steak I ate the last years. 100% I recommend the restaurant and will go again. Do not rush to reject it based on the atmosphere or how the place looks. The food will compensate you!

Had a lovely dinner last night at Pinch of Salt, the food was delicious and probably one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time - we had the Prawn a la creole and the drunken duck which were both flavourful and tasty, with the calamari and Mauritian split pea fritters to start. The tables were clean, and food arrived in a promptly manner. Staff were attentive, polite and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. We will be returning soon

Lovely food, waitress and owner. Would definitely go back. The low score for atmosphere is simply because we were the only customers in the restaurant on that particular evening but I understand it's typically full.

First time visiting and I had a lovely time. All our food was perfectly seasoned and my steak was cooked just right. Everything we ate was delicious. The prices were fair and reasonable. I would definitely return here. The waitress was very personable, helpful and friendly and the owner (Loukman) was wonderfully polite and welcoming.
