Genuinely the best, authentic, Persian cuisine in the area! The owner is incredibly kind, funny and helpful. Whenever he has a moment, he’ll check in on guests to ensure their experience is top-tier. The chef also came out to say hello which was a great touch. He was extremely knowledgeable about the food (obviously) and very kind. Would highly recommend the Kebab Shishlik, Joojeh Kebab as mains and the Hummus (authentic and phenomenal), Baba Ghanoush and Mast Khiar as starters.

Lovely restaurant with very nice and catering staff. We’re very kind in alleviating my worries of allergens and the food was delicious. One of the best Persian places we’ve tried for a while. The atmosphere is also very relaxed good Persian music and quite chill in general. Perfect on a weekend. Definitely coming back again with the family!

This was our second time visiting Abshar Restaurant, and once again, the food was absolutely exceptional. We've tried many Persian restaurants across the UK, but our best experience by far has been at Abshar. The koobideh kebab was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which added so much to the overall experience. Most importantly, the atmosphere created by the owner makes everyone feel comfortable and appreciated—it's clear that he puts his heart into making sure guests leave with a smile. Even if the restaurant isn’t close to where you live, I highly recommend giving it a try at least once. It's worth the trip—you won’t forget the taste of truly good kebab! ☺️

Great tasting food. My wife who doesn't eat salad completely finished the Greek salad which was delicious. Funny thing is that I don't eat salad without dressings but I also finished the salad also. The food was freshly done and the customer service exceeded expectations. We will definitely go back!

The food here is truly authentic—every bite took me back to my Persian roots. The flavors were spot-on, prepared with such care and respect for tradition. The staff were warm and attentive, treating everyone like family, and the cozy yet vibrant atmosphere made the evening feel special. As a Persian, it’s rare to find a place that captures our cuisine and hospitality so beautifully. I’m so grateful for this gem and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone craving a taste of home or a heartfelt meal!

Have been going to this restaurant for a number of years now, it has recently been taken over by new management and it's almost the same as before. The meat there is all Halal which is good but they have put their own twist on Persian cuisine. It's quite pricey but it's an enjoyable experience due to5 very nice, friendly and attentive staff.

Food is great and halal of course. But it takes soooo long to make that I don't even know why they are open for business! The service gets worse and worse each time I go. 1. Food takes a ridiculous amount of time. We ordered starters and meat, it would make sense to bring the starters and start cooking the meat, which would then be ready after starters. But they do not start cooking the meat UNTIL you finish your starters, it's absurd. 2. Even as a takeaway, the food said it would take 40minutes to get ready and yet it took 80minutes! It's simply disgraceful. 3. Practically need to jump out of your seat and scream to get their attention and even if the restaurant is not busy you will need to ask 3+ times for the same thing. 4. The manager is rude to her waiting staff.

It’s my go-to place when I fancy a decent Persian meal- lovely staff, Eva and Soraya were amazing when I went there yesterday with a couple of my friends for an warly dinner. Food was great, as always :)

Absolutely fantastic. From the start to finish, service is polite, fast and friendly. The packaging is well thought, keeping the food very hot. As for the food itself, well seasoned and cooked to perfection served with excellent rice and a side pot of sumac and sauce. Huge portion sizes and well worth the price. Highly recommended. 30 minutes ticketed free parking available on the main road parking bays or free parking after 5pm

Absolutely fantastic meal. The food was incredible, really tender meat and tasty stews and really generous portion sizes. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back here again and strongly recommended.
